First Outdoor Movie Night A Success

T he newest addition to
the Minnedosa Tour-
ism Committee events was
launched on Sunday, June
30th under the stars. The
first of a series of four out-
door movies, Mary Poppins
Returns, was held at the
Minnedosa Beach at dusk
with several attendees
sprawled out on blankets
and lawn chairs to enjoy
the outdoor experience.
Although people came
and went throughout the
movie, it is estimated that
some 200 people attended
the first outdoor movie.

The movies are shown
on an inflatable 20 foot
screen, purchased by the
committee earlier this
year, and the mobile abil-
ity allows the commit-
tee to move the shows
throughout different areas
of Minnedosa throughout
the summer.
Four local community
groups have each agreed to
host a movie night and op-
erate a fundraising canteen
during the events. The first
movie, held at the beach
saw the Minnedosa Beach
Enhancement Committee
operate the canteen. Up-

Parent Advisory Council,
Heritage Village Museum
committee and the Fire
Department.

Tanner’s Crossing Park,
A Dogs Purpose during
Heritage Day at the Heri-
tage Village and Secret Life
of Pets 2 closing out this
year’s outdoor movie sea-
son returning to Minnedo-
sa Beach. The movies are
family friendly and the
committee welcomes all
families to come out and
enjoy this free event.
