1.Commitment:
Do commitment with yourself and with your parents to Complete CA intermediate in
2.5-3 years, make promise with them that you will give your 100% and takes their
promise that they will give you 100% support and never pressurize you for
self-earning for this 2.5-3 years period, because if you clear CA inter in approx 2.5
years it will leads to get induction for article-ships in Big4firms easily

2.Subject Selection:

AFC:
Go for 4 subjects in a row
Do approx 5 hours of study daily
=> for BC,FN.ENG and IT read whole books 3 times in a session and solve ICAP and
PAC question bank, give approx 1 hour to each subject on daily basis.
=> for QMS do practise it approx 2 hours daily must solve ICAP and PAC question
bank.
=> AFC duration must be 3 months.

ICAP pattern:
Session#1:CAF1,2,3
Session#2:CAF 4,5,6 n PCSC
Session#3:CAF7,8,9
This pattern is good because it gives you a holiday in every paper, but its bit
difficult to clear 3 papers in first attempt of CAF session, most of the students
completely failed in full session due to not having full command on CAF3.
So I have prepared a Subject selection Pattern which is upto 4 attempts of CAF
session and easy to pass manage papers. This pattern also give you holidays in your
exam days.
Pattern is:
Session#1: CAF 1,2 and PCSC(writing Skills)
Session#2: CAF 3,5,6
Session#3: CAF 7,8
Session#4: CAF 4,9
=> Duration must be 2 years( 4 attempts of CAF session) and give your 100% for
getting induction in Big4.
=> Must clear Session#1 because it gives you boost for coming 3 papers.
=> Do 8-9 hours of study on consistent basis because CA is the game of
CONSISTENCY.

2.1: IF failed in papers what should be the selection of papers:

Case#1: if attempts 3, 1 pass and 2 fail:
Suggestion: Reattempt failed papers and opt 1 new subject.
Case#2: if attempts 3, 2 pass and 1 fail:
Suggestion: reattempt failed paper and opt 2 new subject.
Case#3: If attempts 3, All fails:
Suggestion: Its better to reattempt these paper or
second best alternative is to reattempt 2 failed papers with 1 new
subject.
=>if you fails in more than 1 subjects then its better to opt 1 new paper per session.
=>In cases of failure try to complete CAF in 6 attempts

2.2:Freezing and dropping out of papers after result:
Coaching Institutes will never return your fees if you opt new papers and failed in
attempted papers, its better to freeze or drop paper for coming attempt and
reattempt failed papers with one new subject.
=> 30% course has taught before result(pre-result batch) and 70% will after result

2.3: How to prepare failed paper again :

=> Students are failed due to problem in 30% of course and you have prepared your
70% of course well.
=> 30% course: Identify your weakness and strong your weak topics or concepts
=> 70% course: Revise your strong topics

3) Study technique:
3.1:Follow ICAP’S Grid of papers:
CA is professional exam so papers are made according to the given gird.

3.2:Division of Gird in 3 parts:

Divide the grid into 50,30 and 20 marks of portion
=>50 marks portion:
Prepare in such a way to obtain 35-40 marks from this portion
=>30 marks of portion:
Prepare in such a way to obtain 15-20 marks from this portion
=> 20 marks of portion:
Prepare in such a way to obtain 10-15 marks
=> In such a way, you can easily pass your paper by achieving 60-75 marks

3.3). SQ3R Method:

Revise by systematic revision plan
Survey:
=>Do survey of Chapter by reading Contents of Chapters and sub contents in a
chapters.
Questions:
=> Must solve ICAP Question Bank
=> Solve at-least 5-7 past papers of every chapters.
Read:
Recite and learn/solve:
Revise by systematic revision plan:
Today’s lecture
1st revision: revise it within 24 hours
2nd revision: revise it after 1 day gap of 1st revision
3rd revision: revise after 3 days gap of 2nd revision
4th revision: revise after 7 days gap of 3rd revision
5th revision: revise after 30 days gap of 4th revision until exams
=> Devote 3 hours to each subjects and do 3 things
1). prepare today lecture
2). revise previous lecture
3). revise 1 topic from systematic revision plan
=> Make short recordings of topics/concepts on mobile and listen them when
travelling or when free.

4). Examination Techniques:

=> Basis examination techniques is,

Due time policy
Multiply your question marks by 1.8 minutes e.g: 20marks*1.8minutes= 36 minutes
try to complete your following question in this time, if not complete leave it and go
for next question and if you find time then complete that question.
One minute policy
In accounts subjects try to complete your format of the question in 1-2 minutes
=> more examination techniques are available on ICAP website.

4.1). Selection of College:

1. Choose that college in which for every subjects at-least 2-3 teachers are available.

2 .Proper weekly, monthly, mid term and mock exams are conducted and proper
feedback must be delivered.
3. Crash courses must be conducted.
4. Don’t go for ONE MAN ARMY institute in which one teacher teaches most of the
subjects.
5. Institute must be registered with REATs.

5).Routine:
Everyone has its own routine, some are Early Bird some are Night Owl, I promote to
be a Early Bird and don’t go against nature but to clear CAF in 2.5 years it is feasible
for you to follow this routine during coaching classes.
Wake up: 15 mints before Fajr and offer Tahajud
=> offers Fajr, do some morning walk in fresh air approx 15-20 mints and yoga etc
Study:
i). After morning walk to college time (2-3 hours)
ii). after classes, do study in college library or ICAP’S library
iii). In library, from 2pm-8pm (5-6 hours)

=> Do GYM regularly for 30-45 minits

=> Goto bed at approx 10:30pmand wakeup 15 mints before Fajr at Tahajud prayer
time
=> Do approx 8-9 hours of study on consistent basis.

6). Entertainment and Sports:

=> Play football or cricket on every weekend in morning for 2-3 hours
=> Watch English movies once in a week to increase you English listening skills
=> listen short 5-7 mints video of English BBC news on regular basis to increase your
English vocabulary and listening skills

7) Importance of first three years:

It is necessary to complete CA inter in 2.5-3 years to get induction in article-ships
from big4firms.PWC, Deloitte, KPMG and Ernst & Young are the big 4 audit
companies. Every CA student dreams to do his article-ships from big4, to achieving
this aim you have to work hard in 2.5 years to get enroll..
