Try to take shorter showers. You could shave outside the shower, or turn
off the shower while you shave. Also take showers rather than baths.
When you take a bath, you are using up to 100 liters of water! Showering
will usually use less than a third of this amount. If you do take a bath, use
that water for your garden.
Choose your next washing machine wisely. Front loaders use far less
water than top loaders. Make sure to buy laundry detergents that rinse
well and don’t require an extra rinse. Furthermore, do less laundry. Unless
your clothes are obviously dirty or smell bad, do not wash them. Also,
hang towels on a rack for air drying after you shower. Use them a few
times between washings.
You should also wear clothing more than once. You can also wear the
same pyjamas for a few nights in a row, especially if you shower before
bed. However, do change your socks and underwear daily, but wear
slacks, jeans and skirts more than once between washings.
