Uganda is called as “Pearl of Africa”. Uganda, with total area of approx. 236,040 sq km,
having Population (2010 est.) of 33,398,682, is in East Africa. It is bordered on the west by
Congo, on the north by the Sudan, on the east by Kenya, and on the south by Tanzania and
Rwanda. The country, which lies across the equator, is divided into three main areas—
swampy lowlands, a fertile plateau with wooded hills, and a dry land. Lake Victoria forms
part of the southern border.
Uganda is considered to be one of the most safe and secured countries of East Africa. The
country has beautiful lush green terrain having temperature between 16 – 280 Celsius with
rainfall throughout the year.
Uganda has excellent schooling facilities having English medium. In fact, English is Uganda’s
official language and is spoken at all levels.

Cable Corporation Limited manufactures quality systems certified to ISO 9001:2000

specifications. It has the distinction of being the only company in the region to be certified
by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards.
Cable Corporation Ltd. was founded in 1967 and is today Uganda’s oldest and largest cable
and conductor manufacturing company. UGMA Engineering Corporation was merged with
Cable Corporation in 2011, which enables the company to provide foundry and workshop
products and services to its clients
The manufactured product range of Cable Corporation covers low voltage cables both
industrial and domestic, all types of transmission and distribution conductors and cables, all
types of manganese steel, steel and cast iron castings
Cable also provides machining services and is the authorised distributor for Uganda for HPL
and Castolin Eutectic. Supported by its well trained and experienced personnel, the Cable
Corporation Limited is now looking at new market opportunities and is diversifying into the
manufacture of cross linked poly-ethylene (XLPE) insulated cables.

EPC Division:

We are opening this new division of Power Transmission EPC (Engineering, Procurement
and construction).This division will deal with contracts for electrification, power
transmission & distribution in Uganda.

Head – EPC Division

 Overall in charge of our EPCDivision as profit center head and accountable for
growth and profit of Business.
 Managing the whole operations independently which includes business
development, EPC Project Management, Construction, Engineering Coordination,
legal, people management, Accounts and Finance, QA and QC, Statutory compliance
etc.
 Should possess strong Techno commercial and business development skill along with
Project Management, Contract Management,
 Should have experience ofexecuting EPC Power Projects
 Team Leader, Ability to drive business with proactive and strategic approach
 Strong negotiator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 A Proactiveself-starter who can develop business opportunity in power transmission
sector in Uganda
 Good Technical knowledge and vast experience in all kinds of electrical equipment’s
relating to transmission and distribution
 Market intelligence, competition tracking and formulating strategies accordingly
 Responsible for company’s Revenue, Profit and Growth of the Organization
 Should have experience of independently handling business with government utility
and must possess experience of tendering, arranging finances with banks or financial
institutions.
 Any other assignment given by management from time to time.
