Application
For transmission of analogue and digital signals in instrument and control systems; use in zone 1 and zone 2 group ΙΙ
classified areas (IEC 60079 part 14). Not allowed for direct connection to low impedance source, e.g. the public mains
electricity supply.
Recommended for direct burial. For indoor and outdoor installation in dry and wet locations on racks, in conduits.
Construction
Conductor.............. plain annealed copper, solid, size: 1.0 mm²
Insulation............... polyethylene PE
Colour code........... black / white / red;
with numbered tape under separator tape of the triple screen
Triple screen.......... 24 µm aluminium / PETP tape over tinned copper drain
wire, 0.5 mm²
Wrapping................ at least 1 layer of plastic tape
Collective screen... 24 µm aluminium / PETP tape over tinned copper
drain wire, 0.5 mm²
Bedding.................. polyvinyl chloride PVC, black
Armour................... galvanized steel wire braid, opt. coverage 80% (min.) over a
stranded tinned copper drain wire with the same cross section as
the conductors
Outer sheath.......... polyvinyl chloride PVC, blue for
intrinsically safe systems
