FAR/FR-2815/2825/2825W
Using FR-2105 Scanner Unit

From production in January 2000, the scanner unit of FAR/FR-2815/2825/2825W was

changed to one used for FR-2105 series radars. No modification was made to the
display unit.

Old and new RF modules and antennas are not compatible mechanically. When
servicing, correct parts should be arranged.

RP-25 (FR/FAR-2805 Series)

New Type of RP Board
The RP Board is changed physically from the production in April 2000 and after,
because of the discontinuity of the connector used on the board. The new board
14P0262A has a larger connector compared with the old one. The RP board fixing
plate is also changed.

No compatibility exists between old and new boards and plates.

(Same in circuitry but different in physics)

There are three types of the fixing plate; first, it was changed when the CRT type was
changed, and second, when the RP board was changed.

FAR/FR-2805 Series
New Monitor featuring complete EMC
The 28-inch monitor has been changed to feature complete EMC which complies to the
IEC 60945 3rd edition and EMC directive 89/336/EEC from the production in May 2000.
The new monitor is compatible with old one but it has an additional JUNCTION board.

Type of New Monitor: CDMC-29CF302 (Old type: CDMC-29CF301)

Code Number of New Monitor: 000-143-491

The following table lists the maintenance parts for old and new monitors. The same MAIN
board and FB transformer are used for both types.

When the CRT and PS board for old type is out of stock, ones for new type are supplied.
