PETITION
to amend the NRA Bylaws
Excellent!
Thank you for supporting SAVE THE SECOND in our efforts to strengthen the NRA.
To sign any one of our petitions, please follow the instructions below. We want to make
sure every signature counts, so please take care and follow these instructions precisely. If you
have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at contact@savethe2a.org.

1. Download. Visit Savethe2a.org/petitions to see all available bylaw amendment proposals.

2. Print. Print out the petition(s) that you want to sign.
3. Note who’s collecting signatures.
• You can just sign for yourself and return the petition with only one signature, or you can
print several copies and circulate them among friends for additional signatures.
• At the top of the signatures section, there’s a box to write the “Name of Person
Collecting Signatures” along with that person’s city, state, and email address. Please don’t
forget to include that information, in case we need to follow up.
4. Check eligibility. Who’s allowed to sign?
• If you can vote in the NRA elections, you can sign.
• That means you can sign if either (1) you’re a life
member (any level) or (2) you’ve been a member for at
least the last five consecutive years.
• Not sure if you’re eligible? Before you sign, please call
the NRA at 1-800-672-3888 and ask.
• Not eligible? Bummer. ☹ Please do not sign; but you
can still recruit others to sign!
5. Fill out. Everyone who signs must include NRA member number and contact info.
• Must be legible! Please write slowly, neatly, and clearly. Use black or blue ink.
• All info is required – please don’t leave any blanks. Also, all info must match what the NRA
has on file. Please double check to be sure (especially your member number).
• Not sure of your NRA number? You can find it on your membership card, on any
correspondence from the NRA, on your instructor card (if you’re a certified NRA instructor),
or on your NRA magazines. If all else fails, please call the NRA at 1-800-672-3888. They can
confirm all your information on file.
6. Sign. Don’t forget to add your signature and the date.
7. Mail. After the last person signs (whether it’s one person or several), please
mail ALL pages to: Save the Second; 383 Corona Street; Ste: 505; Denver, CO 80218.
