Procrit (Epoetin Alfa Injection)

Epoetin alfa is used to treat anemia (a lower than normal number of red blood
cells) in people with chronic kidney failure (condition in which the kidneys
slowly and permanently stop working over a period of time)
Tegretol (Carbamazepine)
Carbamazepine is used alone or in combination with other medications to control
certain types of seizures. It is also used to treat trigeminal neuralgia (a
condition that causes facial nerve pain)
Fosamax (Alendronate)
Alendronate is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis (a condition in which the
bones become thin and weak and break easily) in women who have undergone
menopause ('change of life,' end of menstrual periods) and to treat osteoporosi
s in men.
Cisplatin, cisplatinum,
Platinum-based chemotherapy drug used to treat various types of cancers, includi
ng sarcomas, some carcinomas (e.g. small cell lung cancer, and ovarian cancer),
lymphomas, and germ cell tumors. It was the first member of a class of anti-canc
er drugs which now also includes carboplatin and oxaliplatin. These platinum com
plexes react in vivo, binding to and causing crosslinking of DNA which ultimatel
y triggers apoptosis (programmed cell death).
Cyclosporine and cyclosporine
Used with other medications toprevent transplant rejection (attack of the transp
lanted organ by the immune
system of the person who received the organ) in people who have received
kidney, liver, and heart transplants.
Topiramate (Brand names: Topamax, Topiragen)
Topiramate is used alone or with other medications to treat certain types of
seizures in people who have epilepsy. Topiramate is also used with other
medications to control seizures in people who have Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (a
disorder that causes seizures and developmental delays).

Ethacrynic Acid (Brand names: Edecrin, Edecrin Sodium)

Ethacrynic acid, a 'water pill,' is used to treat high blood pressure and fluid
retention caused by various medical problems. It causes the kidneys to get rid
of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine.loop diuretics are potas
sium wasting; encourage client to increase intake of potassium-rich foods.
Carbidopa/levodopa
is the combination of carbidopa and levodopa and is used to treat Parkinson's di
sease[1] and Dopa-Responsive Dystonia (DRD). It is sold under several brand name
s, including Sinemet, Parcopa, and Atamet. The generic name under the British Ap
proved Name system is Co-careldopa.
Aminophylline
is used to prevent and treat wheezing, shortness of breath, and
difficulty breathing caused by asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other
lung diseases. It relaxes and opens air passages in the lungs, making it easier
to breathe.
Albuterol is used to prevent and treat wheezing, difficulty breathing and chest
tightness caused by lung diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD; a group of diseases that affect the lungs and
airways). Albuterol is in a class of medications called bronchodilators.
Vanceril (Beclomethasone Nasal Inhalation)
Beclomethasone, a corticosteroid, is used to prevent allergy symptoms including
sneezing, itching, and runny or stuffed nose. It is also used to shrink nasal
polyps (lumps) and prevent them from returning after surgical removal.
Atenolol is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high
blood pressure. It also is used to prevent angina (chest pain) and improve
survival after a heart attack. Atenolol is in a class of medications called
beta blockers.
Do not stop taking atenolol without talking to your doctor. Suddenly stopping at
enolol may cause chest pain, heart attack, or irregular heartbeat. Your doctor w
ill probably decrease your dose gradually.
Inderal (Propranolol Oral)
Propranolol is used to treat high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, heart
disease, pheochromocytoma (tumor on a small gland near the kidneys), and
certain types of tremor. It is also used to prevent angina (chest pain) and
migraine headaches.
Phenytoin
is used to control certain type of seizures, and to treat and prevent seizures t
hat may begin during or after surgery to the brain or nervous system. Phenytoin
is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing abno
rmal electrical activity in the brain.
What is Percocet?
Oxycodone is in a group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers. Acetaminophen i
s a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of oxycodone.
Percocet is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
