■■ My desired display language is not preinstalled in the tablet - how can I change that?
Change the display language in the following way:
a) Connect your SurfTab to the Internet (see "Enabling WiFi").
b) Tap "All settings" in the Info Center.
c) Tap "Time & language" in the settings menu and then "Region & language". on the left. You are
now on the "Country or region" page.
d) Tap "+ Add a language" in the centre of the screen.
e) Scroll to the desired language and tap the language.
Information: The SurfTab jumps back to the "Country or region" page, but now also shows the selec-
ted language in the list below "+ Add a language".
e) Wait for the "Language pack available" message to appear in the list below the language and tap
"Options" (also located below the language).
f) Now tap "Download" under "Download language pack".
Information: The SurfTab downloads the selected language pack and installs it. This process can
take a few minutes. As soon as the language pack is installed, a "Language pack installed" messa-
ge appears.
g) Tap the arrow to the left beside "Settings" in the top left of the screen.
h) Tap "Set as default" below the selected language.
i) Restart the SurfTab. The selected language is now the display language.
■■ The image on my SurfTab wintron running Windows 10 is not smooth. What can I do?
If your image is not smooth, it is likely because your device lacks important drivers. You must per-
form specific updates in order to install these drivers. To do so, proceed as follows:
a) Open the start menu by tapping the Windows icon in the bottom left of the display.
b) Open the settings by tapping the cog wheel symbol in the bottom left corner of the Start menu.
c) Scroll through the setting until you reach the „Update & security“ menu item and tap it.
d) Tap „Windows Update“. All available updates are displayed.
e) Select the following update from the list of available updates and install it:
„Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics“.
■■ Why does my SurfTab show less storage space than indicated on the packaging?
The storage capacity stated on the packaging and in the technical specifications refers to the total
storage capacity of your device. However, a portion of the total storage is also used by the operating
system and system applications.

■■ My SurfTab is not responding. What do I do?
If you can no longer use the device or if the device no longer responds to input, reset the device. Press
and hold down the on/off button until the device switches off. Wait for about 20 seconds and then turn the
device on normally.
