no where near where we believe we
will be, but we’re not where we use to
be. For those of you who have not been
attending on Wednesday nights, Please
make plans to come out and learn bib-
lical principles that you can use in your
every day life, and at the same time,
help continue to raise our attendance.
Bring your children and teens as well
so they can enjoy fun ministry on a
level they can relate to.

W ell, we had a really good turn out on Resurrection Sunday and a major part of the reason
was because of you, the members and friends of ALC. I challenged you to pray and help
make that day one of great attendance and for the spiritual significant to be great as well.
Congratulations, we did it. Thanks to our children and those who put in extra time to make sure
we had a children’s presentation.
Now, we’re in the final planning stages of ministry that will take place this coming Sunday. This
Sunday we will be celebrating four years of ministry and an exciting time is expected. Dr. Walter
Henderson III of Berean Family Worship in Milwaukee WI, will be our guest speaker. Chariots of
Fire Faze Two, Dance and Mime ministry of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake Virginia area, will
minister in dance. Also, an ordination ceremony is planned for four of our very own, and I believe
these ordinations are going to enhance our effectiveness in ministry. Class members of Dr Walter
Henderson III are planning on attending plus the friends and family members of candidates and of
course, you the members. You might want to get here a little early so you can get a good seat. As
we had a good turn out of our members on Resurrection Sunday, let’s do the same this Sunday,
I’m looking forward to seeing you here.
DINNER MOVED TO WESTERN SIZZLIN
D
ue to some circumstances beyond our control, the dinner which was planned immediately
following the ordination service will not be at the church, but will be moved to Western
Sizzlin. Of course, everyone will be responsible for their on meal. The buffet is $8.95 with our
ALC group rate discount. If you plan on fellowshipping with others for lunch, be sure you receive a
ALC group rate discount card from greeter before leaving.
Pledges
I n January, I mentioned to you that we needed to do some repairs and purchase some sound
equipment. I also mentioned that if we had 30 individuals to give or pledge to give $168.00 one
time or $14.00 per month above your regular tithes and offerings, that we would have no problem
taking care of the things right now. We are a debt free ministry, well virtually debt free, we owe a
little over $4,000.00 right now and that’s it. We need sixteen more individuals to give or make a
pledge. For those of you who have given your pledge, thank you, and to those who are giving on
your pledge, thank you for what you have given and I encourage you to finish. This is OUR church,
and it’s going to take all of us to manage the upkeep and keep it going.
A Night of Praise & Prayer
S tarting May 2nd, I will begin teaching and preaching on praise and prayer and will finish up on
Sunday, May 23th. On May 28th we will finish the month with an exciting night of praise and
prayer. Praise will cause God to come down, dwell where His people are and cause an effect. The
effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much [makes tremendous power available].
I know that this is something new for all of us at A L C but I believe it’s going to be the beginning
of us seeing our families restored, seeing more healings, both physical and emotional, seeing more
deliverances, more salvations and more of God’s people committed to Him. Praise God!
