Àm Since its founding in 1917, the American Association of
m Petroleum Geologists has been a pillar of the world-wide
scientific community. The original purpose of AAPG, to
foster scientific research, to advance the science of geology,
 to promote technology, and to inspire high professional
 conduct, still guides the Association today.
 Àm Ãurrently the world's largest professional geological
society with over 30,000 members, AAPG provides
 publications, conferences, and educational opportunities to
 geoscientists and disseminates the most current geological
information available to the general public.


 

      



Àm The Student Ãhapter Program of AAPG is made up of
 collegiate groups of geoscience students and one of the
 world's foremost co-educational programs within the
geoscience sector with over 145 chapters. It provides
 students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and
 serves as a focal point for developing a feeling of
professionalism through meeting industry representatives.


      

mÀmAdvance the science of geology, especially as it relates


to petroleum, natural gas, and other energy mineral
resources.
mÀmPromote the technology of exploring for, finding, and
producing these materials from the earth.
ÀmAdvance the professional well-being of its members.
ÀmÝur student chapters also provide a means of contact
with the geological & petroleum profession both
inside and outside of academia.

îm Eight active member students volunteered their time and efforts
for about 10 hours to paint our logo in our faculty¶s floor and to
spread our wall posters in the faculty to announce the new AAPG
Student Ãhapter.

AAPG £istinguished Lecture by Mr. Frans van Buchem took place in
Ãairo, Egypt, on Sunday the 25th Ýctober, 2009. Lecture hold at the
Sofitel Maadi Hotel, Grand ballroom and starts at 6h30pm. The host
was the Egyptian Exploration Society ± it was a great lecture by on of
the top experts in his field.

îm Summary:
The session was about a new technique of separation. The new
technique is called Membrane Separation. The BP instructor Eng/Wael
Bakr explained the new technique which is one of the newest techniques
used in separation.

Mr Ãhris Morris (Project development manager BG Egypt ) gave us a
speech about activities of BG group inEgypt , then Mrs Hala ( HR
manager told us about the fresh graduate program of BG and how to
join BG crew .
Finally , Eng Mohamed Khatab ( development Engineer gave us a
lecture on introduction to HYSYS

This Session was presented by one of the Leading instructors in the
Field of Human Resource £evelopment (HR£), ENG/Ýsama EL-
Gawady.
About 300 Students attended this Free Session from different faculties.
