Faith: Believing and acting on what God says He will do. (Hebrews 11:1)
Christ showed His love by humbling Himself and coming to Earth,
as part of God’s will and plan.

As we finish out the semester and look forward to J-Term here is some information that you might
find helpful. J-Term schedules will be distributed on December 6. If a change to your student’s schedule
is desired, he/she needs to complete the drop/add process which runs December 6 through January 4
(excluding Christmas break).
Semester exams will be given December 14-17. Punctual attendance at exams is crucial. In
order to provide a quiet testing environment no student is allowed in the halls once the exam period
begins. A student arriving even a couple of minutes late will be escorted to the exam and admittance
to the exam will be at the discretion of the teacher.

SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION: If it becomes necessary to close school on short

notice, parents may secure the details by listening to the television stations or the following
radio stations, WEEC-FM (100.7), WFCJ-FM (93.7), WCDR-FM (90.3), and WHIO-AM
(1290). When there is bad weather, one of two messages will be conveyed: (1).The entire
DCSS is closed or a particular school(s) within the system is closed: or (2).The entire DCSS is
delayed so many hours. If no message is aired, then one can assume that school is scheduled
as usual. When the message is aired that the opening of school for that day is delayed, this
applies only to those riding the school buses, car pools, and individual parents or students who
drive to school. If you are dependent on public school transportation, you should abide by the
stated schedule of that particular school district. If DCSS has school and one of the involved
public schools is closed, students from the closed school district will be excused.
