A. Family Structure and Characteristics of Dynamics
The Binigay family is a nuclear family and all members live in one house. All family members
are Roman Catholic and the family is comprise of 5 members namely, Mr. Charlito Binigay, 39 years
old who works as a school bus driver, Mrs. Analita Binigay 35 years of age who is a housewife. They
have three children. Charlie Anne is the eldest who is 16 years old and currently studying at PUP and
Nino Binigay 14 years old who is a highschool student and the youngest Christian who is 7 years old
and an elementary student.
At present, the main provider of the family is Mr. Charlito Binigay who receives around
P15,000 salary every month. Mrs Binigay also receives money from her parents if they needed money.
According to them they adequate source for their daily living and they are able to buy.
The mother is the one who handles the daily budget when she receives the money from her
husband and according to her the first priority is food, then education because they have one college
student then the house bills and others are not really prioritize like medical because according to them
they a healthy life and they rarely get sick. None of the family members have vices, Mr. Charlito only
drinks occasionally.
The are has a lot of threat in disease such as Cholera, Dengue and etc. The place has a lot of
canals which can mosquitos live. Their house is quite small and a little crowded but it is well ventelated
and there are no sighs of danger because their house is made of concrete wall and other wood materials
look strong such as chairs, tables and stairs.
Although none of the family members is suffering from any disease there are still a lot of health
threat in their community. They eat fruits, vegetables but mostly meat, they rarely eat street foods and
junk foods.
The Binigays are being visited by health workers in their area regularly in their area, there are
also student nurses like us who give them health teachings. But most of the time if they feel that they
are sick, they visit a nearby public hospital for check up.
