Assalamua'laikum

After seeing some content over the internet in the form of PDF and videos, I felt it’s my
duty to clear the misconceptions spread by those people who call themselves to be the
strict follower of Quran and Sunnah and they claim that nothing should be accepted
without proof

Though the wordings sound very good, but it’s unfortunate to see them spreading false
information about tabligh work among the ummah, saying they are the sufis and pray to
graves etc... It’s the truth that there are many people in tabligh from various lineages
since the intention of work is to spread Islam but not the ektilafs (disagreements) among
the ummah, since spreading Islam is the main intention, so no body in tabligh is worried
about the disagreements among the ummah. But its unfortunate that those who are always
worried about disagreements and want their disagreements to be accepted by everyone
and they feel that they only are on truth and every one else are mislead, are spreading
these false information about tabligh work to prove it wrong, whereas the truth is tabligh
is free from all these things and everyone’s disagreements and agreements are left to their
personal lives but not in the work of tabligh. That is the reason people of various lineages
might it be in terms of madhabs, races or countries work together for the same cause of
spreading the word of Islam and create awareness both among the Muslims and non-
Muslims

I wanted to show the truth against the misconceptions spread by various sources about
tabligh jamath

The two sources which I have got on the internet are

The video on youtube is prepared based on the information and images provided in the
PDF file

Though the PDF itself is misleading, the video file has gone far ahead furnishing
complete doubtless false information

First I would like to show a rough plan of markaz. this clearly shows the room in which
grave is present and the old masjid region. Moreover this plan is of first floor where the
actual masjid is present and the ground floor where probably the grave is present is used
for various purposes like food serving, ablution, bathrooms etc... This room is extended
right from ground floor to the top, so that the place cannot be used for anything. The
main intention of building this room was that, many people were gathering to see the
graves and the markaz didn’t want to establish any bidah there, so they closed the graves
such a way that no body can even imagine that there are any graves present.

The image clearly shows the old masjid along with the compound (where prayer can be
read) of the masjid. The compound of the masjid is marked clearly in the markaz on the
ceiling of every floor and its clearly mentioned almost everyday that those who want to
sit or read the prayers they should do it under the marked region and the other place
should be used only if the actual place is filled up

And also as it can be seen in picture the room is completely closed at the prayer side and
a small window which is in blue color can be seen towards ablution side, and this
window is locked and nothing is visible inside the room

Now let us evaluate the PDF version and regarding information about Moulana Ilyas I
will comment of what I know

Point 1: Title

Ans: Interestingly you will not find any picture of grave of Moulana Ilyas, except for the
window of the room in that PDF

Point 2 (page 1):

Answer: Well no body denies it, the people who deny may not know that there is grave
inside, since it is completely closed and no one ever talks about Moulana Ilyas (except
quoting some of his statements) or his grave, so for a new person it’s impossible to know
about it.

The grave is to the left side of the masjid, whether you see it through entrance or facing
the qibla

Point 3 (Page 2)

Answer: Mahmood Hasan is not the sheikh of tabligh jamath, may be the movement
didn’t even start when he died. Allah knows best

Point 4 (page 5)

Answer: This statement clearly shows that the person who has furnished this information
has just prepared this document by hear and say words. Because when we talk about
grave then its impossible that the person who was there said just “ Moulana Ilyas”,
because there are also a few other great personalities of tabligh in that room, which was
originally present outside the masjid, before it was extended and a person who was in
markaz would have surely taken their name.

And also the people who are so much worried about grave, would have surely spoken of
other graves, because the more number, then the more graves tablighis pray :) and it will
be advantage to objectioners, but interestingly they speak only of grave of Moulana Ilyas,
it means they don’t know about other graves and they have seen nothing

Point 5 (Page 6)

Answer: May Allah throw me in hell if I am wrong, Wallahi, I swear on Allah that one
cannot see anything from that window, even in the picture we can see the darkness inside
the window

Point 6 (Page 7)

If we consider the qibla (direction of prayer) then this room will be on the backside, as
can be seen in the plan

Point 7 (Fatwa of Sheikh Abdul Azeez bin Baz (May Allah have mercy on him))

The fatwa of respected sheikh is presented clearly out of context to the subject, Jamath
tabligh never pray and deem it haram to pray in front of graves or bow to graves

Allah ta’ala knows best and He is the only savior of us.

Lets see this version of picture for better understanding of the above image and what is
that blacked out area

Now let’s see in the plan, where actually this blacked out area is present and from where
the photographer can get this view

So we can easily conclude where the grave is present and how foolishly the person is
showing the blacked out part which was actually to hide the faces of people there and
calling it a grave.

As I said above we can see in this plan that the member of imam is in extended masjid
area.

After seeing the direction of window in plan, now let’s see its original position
The above is the window which will be always closed and locked as shown, even if one
peeps through it, except darkness we can’t see anything, as I have peeped myself
personally

Now to the right, you can see the back of a person performing ablution and normally
there’s no place to even stand, now at such place who will stand there and even if one
needs to pray to the grave, how will he pray?
