Reference: Technical specification No RDSO/ 2007/EL/SPEC/0050 (Rev. ‘0’) MAY 2007 for Copper Stamping
type Resistance Ring Rotor for Traction Motors Type 6 FRA 6068 For WAG9/WAP7 Locos.

With reference to above , it is learnt at CELE’s conference at IREEN / Nkrd on 3rd april 2008 that
materils for copper stamping type resistance ring rotor of 6 FRA 6068 TM ios planned by CLW
/CRJ and POs are placed for the same . 50 Nos. of such rotors are to be planned for
rehabilitation at TMW / Nkrd.

Kindly arrange to spare the procurement details with Drawings to Shri P.K.Roy
Tech II authorise representative of this organization, whose specimen signature is appended
below is deputed to collect the same .

As per Railway Board’s directive TMW NKis nominated to undertake the

rehabilitation/ heavy repair work of the 3-phase Traction Motors. In this context one set of stator
holding winding manipulator stand (Jig No.1TFJ.096.008) is required by TMW to start activities.

You are requested to spare one set of stator holding winding manipulator of stator type
6FRA 6068 per bearer Shri P. K. Roy (Tech I) authorise responsible of this organisation whose

Subject :- Testing of sample from Government approved laboratory

Reference:- Failure of Armature No. B- 494-6350 type TAO 659

Commutator of refered Armature has failed after a service of one year ten
months.
For investigating cause of failure one of the important property i.e. percentage
of silver in the copper segments are required to be findout for which no testing facilities are available
at TMW.

It is proposed to test percentage of silver in four segments of failed commutator

of referred armature from out side government approved agency at the total cast of Rs i.e.TCR
Engg.Service Pvt.Ltd. Mumbai.

As per SOPGEN 2001 para 6.13 (b) CWM-TMW-NKRD has got full powers
for expenditure for carryout chemical analysis or test of articles by other outside agency.

Putup for approval please.

If approved proposal will be sent to WAAO TMW for obtaining finance

concurrence.
