Wastewater Treatment Plant at Chancay - Huaral WM10

Description:The project consists of recovering the methane generated in the domestic wastewater treatment after improving of the current sewe-
rage system and implementing a new wastewater treatment plant. The project will treat 265 liters per second of wastewater and will be located in
the district of Chancay. It will be located in the north Zone of Lima; province of Huaral.

Operation start date: 2011. The project will contribute to purify the water discharged to the sea.
Project lifetime: 20 years. Methane reduction will help improving the polluted air of Lima.
