CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR

Case:-7

QUE.:- 1
Many consumers around the world seem to be willing to suffer for the sake
of fashion. Others argue that we are merely pawns in the hands of
designers, who conspire to force unwieldy fashions down our throats. What
do you think?

ANSWER:-
The discussion above is quite true, we all have to be with the fashion
whether we feel comfortable or not .on the contradictory it is also very true that
designers do think for the comfort level as well but it is a saying that “FASHION AND
COMFORT CAN NOT GO TOGETHER.” And I strongly believe this.

QUE.:- 2
What is and what should be the role of fashion in our society?

ANSWER:-
This is the age of fashion, which is not only confined to our dress, but
also in the way we speak, behave, and decorate our houses and our lifestyle in
general. Fashion is described in the English dictionary as "the prevailing mode in
such things as are subject to change in form of a style, as in ornaments, and
especially in dress.” So all pervading is its influence that it is but natural for students
to get afflicted with this symptom of modernity.

In a way it lends variety to our lives, providing an element of excitement in trying

out something new. It would indeed be a drab life, if we suppose to behave and
dress similarly. Change is therefore not only desirable but also welcome. The hero,
heroines of the modern world and the fashion models are the ones who are the role
models for our youth. They are the Icons around whom the "fashion" revolves.

It is but natural that students, who are in their teenage, get attracted to fashion
and try to emulate their role models. This distracts them from their studies and quite
they run this throughout their lives. It does not in any way imply that they should
not be smartly dressed. They should dress and behave appropriately, so that they do
not distract others as well as maintain the sanctity of the educational institution.

It has also been seen that their indulgence in fashion sometimes appear to be
more vulgar. It also leads to psychological imbalance in them, as they try to ape
their affluent friends. However in the absence of means they resort to unlawful and
unethical acts. There are thus instances of youngsters taking to crime, just to buy a
fashionable dress or suit for being with in fashion.

They must therefore strike a right balance between being fashionable and what is
good for them.

QUE.:-3
How important is it for people to be in style?

ANSWRER:-
Basically to be in style depends on person to person. As to be in fashion is very much
necessary for all of them but majorly depends on which field they are. The human
tendency says that no one wants to look bad or inferior in terms of fashion, style,
and as such there is no harm being in fashion, but to follow some necessary things:-

• The trend should be in budget, people who can afford only they should try.
• It should be suitable to the so called person.
• The place is necessary where they are, saying like there is a trend of mini’s
but it cannot be wore at office or temple.

Thus to be in style is very much necessary solely depends on how person carry her
or himself.

QUE.:-4
What are the pros and cons of keeping up with the latest fashions?
ANSWER:-

Some pros are:-

This is an age of modernization and to survive we have to be with fashion.

Sometimes to adopt new fashion we may look better and better.

Some cons:-
Even it does not fit in our budget sometimes for our betterment we have to sacrifice
many things.
Now days fashion is more of vulgarity.

QUE.:-5
Do you believe that we are at the mercy of designers?

ANSWER:-
Yes, we are most of the times at mercy of designers no doubt designers do think
about the comfort as well but as mentioned that comfort and fashion hardly goes
together. But to be with fashion is very much advisable so the statement is very
true. But again if we are confident in our self we can always go for what is best for
us In that case we are not in the hands of designers it is we who decide what suits
us and what is best for us.

QUE:-1
How was your experience – how helpful was this mannequin?

As it seems quite lively and of course it is very helpful because we can have a close
view for whatever we select. To try out numerous things is quite tedious and to
compare the clothes properly is also very much easy so this mannequin is very
helpful.

QUE:-2
When you shop for clothes online, would you rather see how they look on a
body with dimensions the same as yours, or on a different body?
ANSWER:-
As it is very much obvious that to select a cloth for ourselves then definitely if it is
shown on dimension similar to us we can get a better idea comparatively .because
the main flaw of buying clothes online is they cannot be tried but if the site provide
this facility as well its sales will increase for sure.

QUE:-3
What advice can give Web site designers who are trying to personalize
theses shopping environments by creating life – like models to guide you
through the site?

ANSWER:-
If the web site designers are trying for these kind of shopping then it is quite nice
and helpful concept as this will of course add upon to its sales. But some advice for
being fairer can be considered as follows:-
Wide range should be available
Proper specification of colours should be mentioned
The look of original and that on the site should be like mirror
For personalization specific and ideal dimension for almost each visitor should be
possible.
CASE 6

QUE:-1
Advertising experts have told us that ads aim for the sacred in order to
shock, because using sex does work anymore.” Do you agree?

ANSWER:-
As both the concepts are quite different, the concept of exposure and religious
completely depends upon the product as well as targeted consumer, and it is very
true that both are not at all supplementary both concept suffice their own individual
purpose.
QUE:-2
Should religion be used to market products?

ANSWER:-
As such there is no harm in using religion to market product but if the religion will be
used then the foremost limitation is the targeted market will be narrow, and
nowadays people can create as many objection as they want so if a product wants to
be in a safer side then religion should not be used to market products.
QUE:-3
Do you find this strategy effective or offensive?
ANSWER:-
As it is discussed above the use of religion will always include some or other
contradiction or conflict so it is more offensive rather than effective. And to even my
knowledge the use of religion is not advisable even by laws.

QUE:-4
When and where is this appropriate, if at all?
ANSWER:-
This concept is better used for where the tagline or meaning does not harm
anybody’s feelings and if we have to take it negatively, i.e. a negative promotion it
means through controversy a product can be promoted like Volkswagen. Now-days
this is the best way to promote a product but it has a great risk involved.

QUE:-1
What’s up with our fascination with bigness?
ANSWER:-
As it is a human tendency that big is better if a person is paying for anything he will
always fish for something big or more though the size does not matter much but we
can say that for first glance the size does matter that is if I am paying 10 Rs. I do
wish for getting something big in return. So we can say youngest to eldest all are
very much fascinated for big thing at first glance.

QUE:-2
Is this a uniquely American preference?
ANSWER:-
I don’t think just American might have this preference it is somewhat a psychological
and it is almost same with all human brain in that it does not vary from country to
country and specially in this case this is a tendency accepted worldwide. So we can
rightly say that it is nowhere uniquely American preference.

QUE:-3
Do you believe that “bagger’s better?” Is this a sound marketing strategy?
ANSWER:-
Not always, for this let me just give one example to clarify my statement completely.
In a birthday party we get many gifts among them as on e give a big box of gift we
feel very happy and exited to see what could be? But at the same time some give us
a small box we feel not that happy as we get for a big box. Now the big box carries a
soft toy and a small carries a diamond ring.
Thus it is very clear that bigger is always not a better it depends on a particular thing
it carries.
Marketing is nothing but to play with a human psychological or tendency. So from
marketing point of view we can say that to attract or fascinate a consumer it has to
be big pickings. This is an acceptable as well as sound strategy.

younger but it does not last long as compared to our tradition thinking it is just like
though junk food fascinates more to us but we cannot have it continuously for long
time we do crave for homely food. And as now birdies magazines also started for a
traditional wedding because youngsters do have feelings for their own tradition,
culture loved ones and ours is the only tradition that has a touch of feelings,
individuality, and oneness. Even foreigners want to have a grand marriage or to
observe all rituals as per our traditions.

QUE:-2
