Maintenance
Due to the high maintenance requirements of the Lancer
Evolution prospective customer should be made aware of
extra ordinary maintenance cost associated with owning
a Lancer Evolution
To encourage maintenance discussion as part of the
sales process and serve as a proactive approach to CSI
and IQS, Mitsubishi (for the first time) will offer to those
Evolution buyers the ability to purchase a Lancer
Evolution PITPASS maintenance contract .
The use of 100% synthetic oil is required and must be
changed at every 5000 miles to avoid turbo damage.

Maintenance
High performance Yokohama 235/45ZR17 tires with a
unique rubber compound that requires frequent and
regular rotation every 5000 miles.
Carbon-fiber rear spoiler is made from CFRP (Carbon
fiber Reinforced Plastic) in order to lighten body weight.
Carbon-fiber should be waxed using UV-protective
material to keep appearance from turning yellow.
Use of snow chains are only permitted on rear tires.

WARNINGS
Riding comfort is slightly harder than ordinary passenger cars due
to performance nature of vehicle.
It is necessary to keep holding steering wheel tightly with both hands
while driving due to high-performance tire and quick steering gear
ratio .
Do not touch around hood outlet while engine is running or soon
after engine has stopped due to high heat surfaces.
Braking noise may be louder than ordinary passenger car due to high
performance brakes .
The flowing noise of power steering pump may be louder than
ordinary passenger car due to small steering gear ratio .
