LESSON ACTIVITY TEACHING AIDS


STAGES
SET Picture of cat and dog (appendix 1)
INDUCTION 1.) Teacher shows picture of a cat and puppy.

minutes ) 2.) Teacher poses several questions to the
pupils:
a. Where can we find these animals?
b. Can we keep the cat?
c. Can we keep the puppy?

Description: the picture will help the pupils to get ready


with the lesson of the day. It also helps pupils to revise
their schemata.
PRE- Video of wonder pets theme song (appendix 2)
LISTENING 1.) Teacher shows them a video which consists
(±7 minutes)
of famous children’s television show
(Wonder pets).
2.) Teacher asks the pupils to listen and
understand what the song is about.
Description: the video shows how wonder pets’ members
try to save 3 baby birds. It emphasized on team work.

Rationale: it can help to tease pupils’ knowledge and help


the pupils to be more comfortable.

WHILE- E-book (appendix 3)


LISTENING 1.) Teacher asks the pupils to sit closer to the
(±10 minutes) front.
2.) Teacher opens the E-book.
3.) Teacher asks the pupils some questions:

a.) Where did she go?
b.) What did she see?

Description: the story is about a girl who wants a pet.

Rationale: the students can learn to pronounce and also


remember the detail from the story that they heard.

LISTENING 1.) Teacher assigns a computer to each pupil.
(±8 minutes) 2.) Teacher asks the pupils to type

3.) Teacher asks pupils to play the game
online.
4.) Teacher gives them time.
Description: the game is interactive as the pupils can
choose their own.

Rationale: the real pictures are colorful and beautiful. It


will help to stimulate students’ memory on what they
learnt in while-listening.

CONSOLIDATI 1.) Teacher asks the pupils to sit in a circle. Game: hot seat(appendix 5)
ON 2.) Teacher describes the game that the
pupils will play.
3.) Teacher plays the music and the pupils Description: the game will help pupils to listen and
pass the box around. understand what the questions want them to answer.
4.) Teacher will post question to the pupils
with the box. Rationale: to sum up what they learned with a fun way
and also emphasize on the knowledge that they should at
least gain.
CLOSURE 1.) Teacher asks the pupils what they have
(±2 minutes) learnt that day.
2.) Teacher sum up the lesson.
