FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MCLA 2010 Reunion Weekend

North Adams, MA (October 22)— Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will hold its
2010 Reunion Weekend Friday, October 22 through Sunday, October 24 and will feature a
wide variety of events for alumni and their families. The weekend will begin with a
welcome reception in Murdock Hall’s Garden Level at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Reception
attendance includes tickets to the Fine and Performing Arts Fall Production, As You Like It,
at 8 p.m. in Venable Theatre.

The Distinguished Alumni Brunch will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Murdock
Hall’s Sammer Dennis Room. The Alumni Association will honor James F. Holden-
Rhodes ’65 with the Distinguished Alumnus Award, Dennis P. Zicko ’65 with the Service
to the College Award, and Anna M. Saldo-Burke ’89 with the Humanitarian Award.

The Amsler Campus Center Gymnasium will hold Family Carnival and Chowder Fest from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The events will feature carnival games, novelty events and
complimentary award-winning chowder. Alumni can interact with families, faculty and
staff at the Family Council Reception with President Mary K. Grant at 12:30 p.m. at Smith
House. Class Agents are invited to intend the annual Class Agent Workshop from 1 p.m. to
4 p.m. in Murdock Hall’s Sammer Dennis Room.

Student Government Association will host its 100th Anniversary Reception in Amsler
Campus Center’s Sullivan Lounge from 4 to 5 p.m. An invitation-only Golden Grads
dinner will be held at the Advancement House at 5 p.m., to be followed by the Alumni
Cocktail Party with cash bar from 5:30 to 7:30. Alumni are invited to reminisce with
college friends at class dinners at 7:30 with locations determined by class agents, who can
be contacted for more information.

Tsidii, award-winning originator of the role of Rafiki in Broadway’s The Lion King, will
bring her electrifying vocal talents to the Church Street Center Auditorium at 8 p.m. on
Saturday. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Margaret A. Hart ’35 Scholarship and can be
reserved for $20 by calling 413-662-5204. A final showing of the FPA Fall Production As
You Like It will be held in Venable Theatre at 8 p.m. for $2. A Farewell Brunch will take
place at 11 a.m. on Sunday in the Amsler Campus Center Centennial Room.
