Kerala backwaters -The canals and rivers which criss-cross the country.Have you ever seen school
children going to school in boats !! Yes it happens in Kerala.
Munnar-The hill station in Kerala.Munnar can be reached by bus or car from Kochi (5.5 hours),
Kottayam (5 hours) .The views on the way are beautiful though.You can also reach Munnar by bus
from Madurai (6 hours) or Coimbatore (6 hours) in Tamil Nadu. The journeys can be long but the
views are stunning.

Main cities of Kerala are Thiruvanathapuram (capital city) ,Kochi and Kozhikode.
You’ll be able to enjoy the highlights of Fort Cochin, before wandering in luscious tea plantations in
the cool mountain air of Munnar, then head back down to Alleppey to explore the backwaters.
If you are more interested in wildlife than tea and pretty mountain views, then you could substitute
Periyar Wildlife Sanctaury for Munnar, for the chance to see elephants and monkeys. Visiting both
would be too rushed in just a week though.

Alternatively, you can skip Jaisalmer above and drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur visiting Ranakpur and
Kumbhalgarh on the way. That option will work out to be the same overall duration.
You will not be able to see Taj in the night as per your plan. You need to book the tickets in
person in advance a day before you want to see Taj in night. It is allowed 2 days before full

One should pay only half ticket (Demi-tarif/Halbtax) which saves 50% on all national buses

national bus and rail, all city transit systems, and hefty discount on privately operated boats,
cable cars, and ski lifts. A 4-day pass comes for CHF 260 and for a month pass ,it would cost
you CHF 578 for in 2nd class.
Caution :
Only the first class cars are "panoramic", featuring large windows and comfortable seating.
One can break journey with an overnight stay in Chur.Seven or eight hours is a long time to sit on a
train, and you may enjoy the scenery more when you spread it over two days.
If you are on a tight budget , you can bring you own food. (At a few major stops, you'll have time to
buy food from station vendors.)

are worth a visit. Interlaken may be "tourist" Switzerland but it does it so well that even the
Swiss like the area. Surrounded by the Jungfrau, Eiger, and Mönch, Interlaken is a great base
for touring and one of the most idyllic areas of Switzerland. This may be one of the best
regions to shop for "something Swiss".
6. Schaffhausen - Capital of the only canton which is exclusivly north of the Rhine river,
Schaffhausen boasts a charming old town with many elaborate oriels and, of course, the Munot
- a fortress overlooking the old town and the Rhine river. The Rhine Falls, Europes largest
waterfalls, are a very enjoyable hours walk away or a short bus / train ride.
7. Geneva - known for its lake and Old Town, Geneva is also home to a host of international
organisations, including the United Nations, which has resulted in Geneva playing host to
more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other city in Switzerland.

1. KL Tower
2. Petronas twin towers at a height of 1453 ft is one of the tallest buildings of the world.
3. Huge shopping malls (visit KLCC ,the amazing mall at the base of Petronas towers or Berjaya
Times Square.
4. The Friday Mosque, situated astride the confluence of the Klang and Gombak Rivers at the
point . The best time to visit is at sunset or during the muezzin’s call to prayer, which echoes
around the ornate domes and palm trees, lending the mosque an air of calm amidst the
skyscrapers.
Penang
Penang is known for the beautiful beaches, beach resorsts,oasis of palm trees and sandy
beaches.Other attractions are Snake Temple,which swarms with with poisonous snakes, but
their venomous threat is countered by heavily drugging them with incense. Wat
Chayamangkalaram Temple contains an enormous gold-plated reclining Buddha which, at 33
meters long, is believed to be the third largest in the world. Penang Bird Park is a must for bird
lovers’ and horticultural enthusiasts alike. The landscaped park in Seberang Jaya is home to
over 400 species of birds. In the center of the island is Penang Hill, with a 2300ft summit,
where tourists who can bear the massive queues to ascend the cable car are rewarded with
splendid views and jungle walks.
Georgetown
The main shopping is on Campbell Street and Canarvon Street. Worth visiting are Khoo
Kongsi, an old Chinese clan house, Fort Cornwallis, a British 18th-century fortress.
Langkawi is one of the a cluster of 90 islands separated from mainland Malaysia by the
straits of sea-body known as Malacca .Langkawi is one of the most popular and the best tourist
destinationss in south east Asia !.The island’s many coves, lagoons and inlets make it ideal for
all kinds of watersports such as swimming, sailing, fishing and scuba diving. Travel to
Langkawi is by air from Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Alor Setar or by road and sea.
Cameron Highlands
Still further north, about four hours from Kuala Lumpur, are the Cameron Highlands. These
are among the best-known mountain resorts in Asia, and consist of three separate townships:
Brinchang, Tanah Rata and Ringlet. An international-standard hotel and many bungalows are
set around a golf course in lush green surroundings. Tennis, squash, badminton, jungle walks
and swimming are available. From here you can visit Gunung Brinchang: at 2064m (6773ft)
above sea level, it is the highest inhabited point in Peninsular Malaysia and therefore a
magnificent viewpoint.

If you’re interested in the culture and sights of the largest ethnic group in Singapore, then
Chinatown is a must visit for its interesting little curio shops and cultural fare. Make sure you pop
in to try the local food and also shop for traditional Chinese stuff like herbs and mahjong sets or
jade.
4. Boat Quay
The last place I have to mention has got to be Boat Quay. This place, especially on a Friday
night, is full of working professionals and will lend you some insight into what the young working
crowd here in Singapore gets into on weekends. Mostly a place for pubbing, clubbing and
partying the night away.
