Optimizing the novel THAI-CAPRI process in the lab. (I being the project consultant and main experimenter) A major EPSRC funded worth 1 million pound project in partnership with Petrobank Canada and industrial partners Albemarle Catalysts Corporation, the Netherlands and the University of Bath, UK

Helped in construction of the state of the Art CAPRI Rig where a number of catalysts were tested, typically used in the Oil Refineries to upgrade heavy oils

Became an expert in using Refinery Gas Analyser and SIMDIS analysis of oils (techniques used by refineries and Petroleum labs.) Expert knowledge of using techniques like TGA, IR, XRD and SEM to analyse the catalyst and the coked up catalyst to help reduce coking

Used a number of different types of catalysts including synthesising new catalysts for use in petroleum crudes upgrading and reduce coking

Interest and proven track record (in terms of published research papers) in studying different reactions like alkylation, de-alkylation, cracking and reforming
