Writing
This week in writing, we worked on
narrative writing about OUR BEST DAY EVER!!
We looked at a 1st grade rubric and reviewed what
is included in a proficient piece of writing . We
also looked at samples of unknown student’s work
and graded them together. We used a web to plan
our own writing. The kids did a great job including
all the things necessary to produce a Proficient
piece of writing!!! WAY TO GO!

Please have your child make a Valentine’s
Day box to bring to class. You can use a
cereal box, shoe box, mailbox, bucket,
etc… Be as creative as you would like…
just make sure your child’s name is clearly
visible on the box and that there is an
easy way to insert

Valentine Box to school by Friday,
February 11th.
