Dear Mr Miller,

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: 12-01-2009-162855-006

Thank you for your e-mail in which you requested the following information;

• AC71749 AFM Vol 1 Combined Arms Operations, Part 10. - Counter

Insurgency Operations (Strategic and Operational Guidelines).

• ADC Meeting Minutes from 2004 to 2008

• I am happy to have copies of any documents relating to the ADC, owned by

ACGS, that are readily available together with a list of what is not, if this will
take less time. But if there is time left on my clock - so to speak - then I would
like all that is available.

• CVs of the 4 individuals listed (Brigadier Gavin Bulloch, Dr Daniel Marston,

Lieutenant Colonel Marcus Good and Colonel Alexander Alderson).

• A list of revisions/interim drafts to the document in the process of revision:

AC71749 AFM Vol 1 Combined Arms Operations, Part 10 - Counter Insurgency
Operations (Strategic and Operational Guidelines).

I have been asked to provide you with a reply. I am sorry that you have had to wait
so long for this response.

I am sending in the post a disk containing a copy of the Army Field Manual, volume
1, part 10. Although this document is in the process of being revised there is no list
of revisions or interim drafts available. I believe that this takes care of your first
and fifth points.

You requested copies of CVs for four individuals – Brigadier Gavin Bullock, Dr
Daniel Marston, Lt Col Marcus Good and Col Alexander Alderson. The Army
Personnel Centre has informed me that the Ministry of Defence does not hold CVs
for former service personnel. I understand that you have already been informed of
this.
Information to do with the remainder of your request – points 2 and 3 – has been
provided by the Defence Concepts and Doctrine Centre and is attached
electronically. If you would prefer this to be sent in hard copy or on disk please let
me know.

May I once again apologise for the delay in providing you with a response – some
of the information which you requested has taken a great deal of time to identify
and collate. Please find at Annex A details of the complaints procedure which you
should follow if you wish to make a formal complaint.

Yours sincerely,

Bridget Morrison
