300 Churches and Para-church organizations
that have united and are being trained and mobilized to begin
implementation of macro and micro strategies that will be most
effective in reaching lost and needy people in our communities.
Currently we’re unifying the body of Christ & providing evangelism
training as we prepare for the forty day campaign beginning Easter,
2011. The training will help everyone articulate their story in 3
minutes or less and train them to listen to other people’s stories
with a hope they can share the Savior’s story. Canvassing
neighborhoods with a survey, prayer walks, a bless-fest and block
parties are all ways we think doors will be open for us to share
Christ. Get involved, we need your help!

Jamie and Lisa Porter became grandparents of little Caleb, Ryan and Stephanie’s first child.
Joe Sobocinski’s mother, Vivian Sobocinski, is in a nursing home and needs our prayer.
John Burke’s Son-In-Law Tim fixed Ms. Dottie’s computer. Matt Parks was able to decipher a prob-
lem with loading a new MS 2007 program onto Dottie’s Computer. Dottie Fix worked with a printer
driver technician via phone to get her replacement printer to work. She was fit to be tied but is all smiles
after they got things running.
Carol Abbley made it to Bible study after a long struggle with weeks of inclement weather conditions
Iris Szekely also returned to Bible Study after a long stint of caring for relatives on Bible Study days. It
was good to see these ladies back after a long absence from the Bible Study they love.
Mary Ann Harris gave many of our Growing Active Group lessons on how to play the Mexican Train
Domino Game. One of our best lessons came when she beat our socks off. Then she tenderly allowed eve-
ryone to win one game except Pastor Bill and she claims it was his own fault that he did not win. Go fig-
ure.
Pastor Hank Sower, and about 25 youth from TFMC attended the Winter Youth Camp at the Free
Methodist Somerset Beach Campground. Sue Yandura, Pastor Bill Fix, Keith Newman, and John
Burke had a hand in driving. Kamdyn Hudgins, Anita Sower, and Josh Becker attended as Camp
Counselors. This was a great camp for our teens to attend. Several grew spiritually as a result.

Bell Choir Brings
Christmas Cheer
The Taylor Free Methodist Bell Choir,
under the direction of Lynne Meharg,
performed at a Senior Citizens Cen-
ter where young Lynda McIntyre used
to live. The Bell choir played two
songs this night, Pastor Hank Sower
with granddaughter Taylor shared
scripture, music and fun. Pastor Bill
Fix and ventriloquist figure, Grandpa,
also made a surprise visit. The testi-
monies of the seniors and the appre-
ciation shown in applause and on their
faces were evidence enough that
Taylor Free Methodist Bell Choir Christmas Cheer was in the air.

Lori Parks is our Operation Christmas Child Coordinator and
this year we once again surpassed our goal of 25 shoe boxes. The shoe boxes were
filled with toys and hygiene items that children around the world do not have ready

Jill Bryan (Jillybean)

Jill is one of our favorite child evangelists and she is go-
ing to Honduras to help our missionary, Scott Smith
and his colleagues out for Spiritual Emphasis Week. The
only way she can go is if the Body of Christ sends her. If
you can help send Jill to Honduras with a donation
please give it directly to Pastor Bill, Dottie, Joe Sobo-

March 13 and will preach in both services. JILLYBEAN
Help Us In These Troubling Times
We love you all at Taylor Free Methodist, but let me be hon-
est with you, “Times are tough and have been reflected in
the giving patterns at Taylor Free Methodist. 2010 giving
was the lowest giving in my fourteen years here.” The ex-
penses however continued to escalate in spite of our bare
bones budget. We cannot continue to spiral down in our
Pastor and Dottie Fix Enjoy Life giving. Our Free Methodist Conf. has continually paid more
than we have on the operating expenses. We pay $2000 a
month on rent and utilities and they pay the rest. All of our ministry staff work without an
income and Pastor Bill has taken significant pay cuts and has continued to double his tithe of
20% of his income and housing allowance even in these tough times. Please think about
how you too can help move us forward. Let’s have a really great giving year in 2011.

JASON SNYDER RE-KEYED FRONT DOOR The Front door has been rekeyed be-
cause we were having so much trouble with opening the front door, keys getting stuck, etc. We are re-
stricting keys to those who absolutely have to have a key. Please see Dottie Fix or Ezio Panone. Thanks!
ALL 4 HIM DRAMA AND DANCE TEAM

STARTING A NEW YEAR

Our “All 4 Him Drama and Dance Team” is starting a new year. Directors Shawn
Warsaw & Dottie Fix are excited about the 3-fold purpose of the teem; 1. To
minister to each other; 2. To minister in the church; 3. To minister in the commu-
nity and beyond. We continually share with each other songs that have inspired
us so that we can evaluate them to see if it is a song we might perform. Team
members practice Sunday morning and master and suggest choreography for each
song. This Easter the team will perform a song called, “It’s Gonna be Worth It.”
You will not want to miss its very powerful message. A message that everyone
needs to hear. We are hopeful that this year we will be able to enter competition
with other ministry arts teams. We will be in the process soon of putting some of
our performances on DVD so churches, and originations can see what we do. Our
team members include Melissa Byars, Wendy Diebel, Mark Diebel , Dottie Fix,
Kathy Hazeldine, Rachel Newman, Heather Newman, Paul O’Neil, Hannah Osborne,
Michael Parks, Jason Snyder, Lynnette Snyder, Courtney Thompson and Shawn
Warsaw. If you are 14 years old or older and would like to join we practice on
Sundays 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Come join us. For more information see Shawn
Warsaw or Dottie Fix.
Fixation Illusion Team Pastor Bill Fix directs our band of
illusionists and he would like to add just two more members to
the team. Rehearsals are usually Monday nights from 7 to 8 pm.
If you are interested you must be a regular attendee of the
church, be devoted to rehearsals and practice and be able to
keep the secrets of the illusions we perform. Rehearsals are
mandatory, pastor is also looking for a co-director to work
with him no experience necessary just a desire to learn.

Walk With the Taylor Pastor
It is amazing to me that fourteen years ago I arrived in
Taylor on a June afternoon not knowing the community and
not knowing the people of Taylor Free Methodist. Leaving
behind in Florida a heart broken pregnant daughter, a rela-
Pastor Bill Fix & Daughter tively new Son-in-law, and part of my own heart. The minis-
Lynnette Snyder try in Florida was really flourishing but I sensed God’s call
to come to Taylor, Michigan. I still sorely miss my oldest
daughter and her family but I have totally fallen in love with the community, the
people, and many new friendships. I had a philosophy when I came to Taylor that
seemed to really work well in developing community in our church. The philosophy
was simple, it was three L’s. I wanted to LEARN the people. I began by visiting in
every home that I could get into. I wanted to learn where they worked, what
they were involved in, what their family looked like and how I could best help
them. The second “L” came naturally after I learned who the people were, I
LOVED them. It is no accident that the preaching series this month is “Living
With Love.” Getting to really know people and allowing people to really get to
know you is the only way to love people. The last “L” has to be done with total hu-
mility and a desire to help people grow into the best instrument usable by God.
When I got to the point where I really wanted that, I was able to provide LEAD-
ERSHIP and LEAD the people I knew and the people I loved. Learn, Love and
Lead is a great thing for all of us to remember. Can you imagine what would hap-
pen if a person tried to lead before they got to know an individual? Or before
they really loved the individual wanting the best thing for them? I will never for-
get a story I heard of a man who was so diligent at his work. He was always on
time and he almost never took a day off because of sickness. He was a great
worker too, diligently giving his best to whatever his work was at the time. A new
boss that really did not know him was assigned. All the new boss knew about the
man is what others had told him. One day the man arrived late for work and in-
stead of doing a good job as he normally did he made all kinds of mistakes. The
new boss jumped all over Him. Finally, the new boss asked, “What is wrong with
you anyway?” The man looked up from his work table and said to the boss, “This
morning I got up for work, and my wife had died. The police came, then the fu-
neral home came and took her body away. I just did not know what to do. All I
had was my wife. I am all alone. So, I decided to just do what I always do. So I
come to work.” Friends, always Learn, Love, then Lead. I Love you all, Pastor Bill
