Writing
We have produced many great
narrative writing pieces this week and are
excited to have you read them at
Parent/Teacher Conferences! The students
went on a “WRITING JOURNEY” as we
experienced every phase of producing a
quality piece of writing. The students
experienced brainstorming, planning, writing a
rough draft, editing, producing a final copy
and using a rubric to grade their own writing!

Math
We have wrapped up Unit 4 on
Surveys. Our focus has been on
collecting, interpreting and
representing data. We looked at a
variety of ways that data can be
represented, how we can “make sense”
of the data, and we shared our own
surveys and strategies. Unit 4 is
coming home today in your child’s VIP
January Homework

We will be eating in the classroom
on Tuesday with all students that
have completed their homework and
have turned it in on time! If you
have misplaced January Homework,
please feel free to write a note
