OFFICE ORDER

As Sri Kishore Kumar Darjee, Roller Cleaner under Assistant Engineer,

National Highway Division-X, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri was under retention in
police custody from 17.04.1999 to 02.06.1999 against case no.- 12/97 under
section 125(3)Cr. P.C. and deemed to have been suspended on & from
17.04.1999. On the strength of court order he was released and set aside by
court of Law and reinstated without holding further enquiry. Consequence upon
Superintending Engineer, National Highway Circle’s order he joined his duty
with effect from 03.06.1999.
In terms of Rule 170(3) of W.B.S.R. Pt.-I. the said period of absence due
to his imprisonment in police custody will be treated as ‘dies-non’ and date of
next increment will be deferred by 47 days (from 17.04.1999 to 02.06.1999).
1/10 of 47 days equal 5 days will be reduced from his Earned Leave Accounts
balance.
Consequent upon Superintending Engineer, National Highway Circle’s
Office letter no.- A-7/273 dated 28.03.2005 and Ld. Addl.G p’s opinion the pay
of Sri Darjee is regularised as follows:
Basic Pay as on 01.04.1999 in the Scale Rs.3,725.00
(2850-65-3305-70-4005-75-4680)

Next increment is allowed in terms of rule 74 of WBSR-Pt- 1 with effect

from 01.05.2000.

Basic Pay fixed as on 01.05.2000 Rs.3,795.00

Basic Pay fixed as on 1.05.2001 Rs.3,865.00
Basic Pay fixed as on 1.05.2002 Rs.3,935.00
Basic Pay fixed as on 1.05.2003 Rs.4,005.00
Basic Pay fixed as on 1.05.2004 Rs.4,080.00
Basic Pay fixed as on 1.05.2005 Rs.4,155.00
Basic Pay fixed as on 1.05.2006 Rs.4,230.00

Date of Next Increment falls due on 01.05.2007.

This order is issued provisionally subject to final ratification by the

competent authority. If found excess, the same will be recovered forthwith.
