Mass at 5:00pm followed by Lifenite directly after in the Parish
Hall. We enjoy a homemade dinner, games, fellowship and teachings
on topics ranging from the Holy Bible to hot topics in the lives of teens

Tonight-February 6 - Monsignor Marren will lead us through an ex-
planation of "The Mass" and describe what sets the Catholic Mass
apart from a "Christian Service".
February 13 -It’s Amore!” Join us for an Italian Valentine’s Dinner

ceeds go toward our Teens-World Youth Day Trip this summer to see
the Pope!
The Confirmation Retreat will be March 4-6. If you are receiving
the Sacrament of Confirmation this Spring and have not yet registered

St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Car Raffle
St. Vincent de Paul helped 481 individuals in 2010.
Additional families could not be served due to limited funds.
Proceeds from the raffle will go exclusively to
St. Andrew’s St. Vincent de Paul Ministry.

ST. MARTIN DE PORRES HOMELESS SHELTER
St. Martin de Porres will once again feed the homeless at
the cold weather shelters at the Shrine of the Immaculate
Conception and Central Presbyterian on the following
evenings (all Mondays) February 7, and March 7.
There are three ways to help: prepare food (we provide
recipes), serve the food at the shelters (only requires about 3
hours, usually home between 8:30 & 9:00 PM), stay overnight until
6:30 am (safe atmosphere with private sleeping quarters). We have
the most difficulty finding overnight volunteers, but it is really easy
duty. We break the night up into watches, and since guests sleep
between 9:00pm and 5:30am, there is plenty of quiet time to catch
up on reading, paperwork, etc. The more volunteers we have, the
more sleep we get! Eileen (Helena) Nelson will once again be coor-
dinating the volunteers.

WOMAN’S GUILD NEWS
Keep Tuesday, February 15 open to learn about making beautiful
jewelry. Melanie Medina from Colorstones in Roswell will be our
speaker. Bring money as she may have kits for purchase. We will
start with rosary at 7:00pm in the church and the presentation will be
in the Family Center at 7:30pm.
All parents who wish to have their children baptized in the
month of March will need to attend a Baptism Class on
Monday, February 14th. Please call the office to register.
Parents will need to be registered and active members of
the parish for a minimum of three months prior to taking the class.

Meeting called to order
The meeting was called to order by President John Miles at
6:40pm. Roll call was conducted. Quorum was established
and we opened with prayers.
Opening Remarks/ Approval of Minutes
Motion by Dennis Klein to approved minutes, seconded, voted
and approved.
It was stated that we need to set a calendar for the year.
Welcome of new board members
Welcome to our new board members Rhett DeBuys and Michael
Walsh. In addition to the two new members, Phil Cote and
Margaret Ward will remain on the council. He gave special
thanks to the outgoing board, Renay Miller, Liz Schantz and
Margaret Ward.

New officers for 2011 are:

We welcome the new members on the Parish Council and thank them
for coming forward to serve our church community.

Fifth Annual Catholic Day at the Capitol, “Faith in Action.” The Archdio-
cese of Atlanta and Diocese of Savannah invite Georgia Catholics to
the State Capitol in Atlanta to exercise our baptismal call as advocates
for public policy that protects those who are vulnerable and promotes
the common good. Join us on Tuesday, February 8 from 8:30–
2:30pm Catholic Day at the Capitol will start with a legislative briefing
at 8:30am at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. We will walk
together to the Capitol to view the opening of the session, meet your
legislators, and lunch on your own. The event is free, but registration is

BENEFICIOS DE ESTAR INSCRITOS EN ST. ANDRES
El pertenecer a la parroquia le permite recibir múltiples beneficios 1.
como: participar de clases, talleres, seminarios de crecimiento espi-
ritual como personal y profesional. De igual manera le da la oportu-
nidad de integrarse y hacer nuevas amistades, de recibir el numero
de inscripción que lo identificara como miembro de St. Andrew
Catholic Church Este numero es el que debe usar en los sobres que
se les entregaran todos los domingos para que deposite su diezmo.
Al usar el sobre para el diezmo cada domingo, usted deja constan-
cia de que cumplió la obligación de oír misa y que es un miembro
activo de la comunidad.
Si llegara a necesitar una carta para la escuela de sus hijos,
constancia de que vive en el condado o para inmigración, solo
podemos confirmar esa información si usted está inscrito como
miembro activo. De igual manera cuando necesite ayuda econó-
mica o medica de San Vicente de Paul debe de estár inscrito en la
parroquia.
Por su beneficio tome una hoja de inscripción en el vestíbulo o pase
directamente por la oficina del Ministerio Hispano en horario de
trabajo.
Si desea ofrecer una misa por intenciones personales; de salud o

QUINCEANERAS
La familia debe estar registrada en St. Andrew. La joven tiene que estar
en proceso de preparación para la confirmación, pertenecer al grupo
juvenil y asistir a tres charlas de preparación. La misa de Acción de
Gracia se celebra el tercer sábado de mes en el horario de 11:00 am,
1:00 pm y 3:00 pm. Registrarse en la oficina del Ministerio 5 meses
antes de la fecha.
Cuando cambie de dirección o número de teléfono, por favor comuní-
quense con la oficina parroquial para darnos los cambios. Es muy impor-
tante que nos ayuden a mantener nuestros archivos actualizados.

EL DIEZMO. Una hora de salario a la semana es lo mínimo que debes
considerar ofrecerle al Señor. Pon tú donación en los sobres que encon-
traras en las bancas. Al usarlos con tu numero de registro nos dejas
saber que estas cumpliendo con la misa dominical.

NUEVO PROGRAMA PARA JOVENCITAS TEENS
1. MODA REAL: NUEVO PROGRAMA PARA JOVENCITAS DE 14
-18 ANOS. Moda Real quiere realizar lo que la moda tiene de
positivo. Le habla a la adolescente de hoy en su lenguaje.
Pretende resolver las inquietudes propias de esta edad de
estar guapas por fuera, al tiempo que les descubre su digni-
dad como mujeres. Aprenden a conocerse a sí mismas, a
cuidar su belleza interior y a integrar ambas dimensiones
para llegar a ser mujeres auténticas y de una pieza; mujeres
modernas y con valores; mujeres capaces de ser espejos de
lo bello y hermoso, de lo que merece la pena, espejos que
reflejen lo que es invisible y no por eso es menos real…
Quien descubre la auténtica belleza está preparado para
hacer un mundo mayor.

GRUPO DE ORACION SEMILLAS DE PAZ Y AMOR. Para to-
dos los que deseen conocer al Señor leyendo la palabra y
aprendiendo a orar en un ambiente amoroso y relajado. Todos
los martes de 7-9 pm. Salón 202. Coordinadora Marina Urrea.
EXPOSICION DEL SANTISIMO EN LA CAPILLA. Dedícale una
hora a la semana de oración y silencio al Señor expuesto.
Apúntate para hacerle guardia. HORARIO de lunes a viernes
9:00 am a 9:00 pm. Llamada urgente para llenar el horario de
2:00-3:00 pm y de 4:00-5:00 pm.
GRUPO DE LA DIVINA MISERICORDIA. Se reúne todos los
lunes a las 6:30 pm en la capilla. Estudio a las 7:00 pm salón

BAUTISMO. Los padres tienen que estar registrados EN NUES-
TRA IGLESIA y asistiendo a la misa dominical por tres meses antes DE
TENER DERECHO A PEDIR EL SACRAMENTO. REQUISITOS: DEBE
presentar Acta de Nacimiento del niño/a. DEBEN los padrinos estar
casados sacramentalmente Y traer copia del certificado de
Matrimonio. Solteros: DEBEN ser mayores de 16 años de edad,
y presentar certificado de CONFIRMACION. PAREJAS EN
UNION LIBRE NO CALIFICAN PARA SER PADRINOS. Platicas de prepa-
ración: OBLIGATORIAS PARA PADRES Y PADRINOS EN EL HORARIO
DE :7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Primer Martes de mes. Ceremonia Bautismal SE-
GUNDO SABADO de mes a las 11:00 am. Todos los documentos tienen
que ser entregados antes del día de la platica. LOS BAUTISOS SE
HACEN EN ESPANOL , NO BILINGUES.
MATRIMONIO. Inscritos en la parroquia. Reservar la fecha con
seis meses de anticipación. Certificado de bautismo actualizada, licen-
cia pre-matrimonial, clases de preparación LLASU (Llamados a ser
uno). Cita con el padre.
