January 30, 2011

1. The Reverend Johnnette Shane called the meeting to order and Cindy Cooper
opened the meeting with a prayer.

2. The minutes of the 2010 Annual Meeting were submitted for review by
Nancy Miller. There were no changes. Scott Alberts moved to approve the
minutes, and Julia DeLancey seconded the motion. Motion was approved.

3. The election of the new members of the Bishop’s Committee commenced.

Julie Seidler, Kevin Minch, and Sally West were nominated. Ballots were
distributed and voting began.

Julie Seidler was nominated for alternate delegate to the Diocese convention.
She was elected by acclamation.

4. The first report from Johnnette as our official Vicar, was presented to the
congregation.

5. The priest associate report was submitted by Carrol Davenport.

6. The Bishop’s Warden report was submitted by Krista Baker. She submitted a
written report and thanked many people individually for their contributions
to the church during the past year.

7. Maria Evans submitted the Junior Warden report in writing. Highlights of this
report include the purchase of a snowblower and a lawnmower, redoing the
drainage for the vicarage, and doing major repairs and updates to the
vicarage.

8. The treasurer’s report was given by Krista Baker. She noted that last year we
approved a negative budget but came out ahead at the end of the year.

9. The election results were read. Kevin Minch and Sally West were elected to
the Bishop’s Committee.

10. Scott Alberts made three reports. First – the book club had less attention this
year, but had successful attendance. Scott asked for volunteers to suggest
books and also to lead the group. He also talked about the addition of the
Taize services. We did six last year and plan to do one a month this year. Sally
West asked people to suggest themes for each service. Scott then reported on
the choir. The choir made a lot of money at the annual Fat Tuesday dinner.
This money went to Haiti relief issues. This year’s dinner will go to the
Diocese in Haiti.
11. Kyle Miller talked about the youth program and changes made in it. Delaney
Schlake will take over the Peer Minister position in the fall semester.

12. Talie Alexander spoke about the convention and submitted a written report.
She pointed out that Julia was listed as an alternate to the convention, but
actually attended as a delegate.

13. Julia Delancey talked about the alter guild and the need for more volunteers.
Johnnette mentioned that the job was especially difficult this past year
because they were working with three different vicars. Julia also mentioned
that they have returned to using fresh flowers on the altar and asked for
donations for this. Dedications should be shared with Wynne Wilbur or
Johnnette.

14. Nancy Miller mentioned the newsletter, asking for volunteers to help with
communications; and Sunday School which also needs volunteers for
teachers. She said that they really appreciated having non-parents help with
this program.

15. Diane Johnson spoke about coffee hour and mentioned that more than 20
people had helped with this.

16. Krista talked about outreach and mentioned that we more than doubled the
amount of money donated for these causes from the previous year. She also
talked about stewardship. This year there are 33 pledge units for a total of
$85,000.

17. Maria talked about the website. She mentioned that Wynne Wilbur is
uploading minutes from the Bishop’s Committee to the website and that Julie
Seidler is posting photographs.

18. Krista talked about the proposed budget. There was a general consensus that
we should not carry such a high balance on the checking account.

19. The new members of the Bishop’s committee were announced. Jessie Cragg
will be the new Senior Warden. Junior Warden will be elected at the
committee meeting to follow. Krista Baker will remain as the treasurer.

defining accessibility in a broader way. She thanked Krista for her time as the
Bishop’s Warden.
