Deadlines Nominations should be received no later than April.


All document requirements will be sent directly to students via
email. Documents can then be uploaded electronically to our
registration system when prompted.
1. Copy of passport and that of any accompanying
dependant.
Required Documents 2. Bank statement to confirm means of support, $6,575
minimum required. $4,300 for spouse, $2100 per child, if
accompanying.
3. MBA IEP registration form (online)
4. UCLA Health Insurance (purchased online) about $225.
5. Passport Photo: jpeg format, plain background
MBA Program academic areas include accounting, business
economics, decision sciences, finance, human resources and
organizational behavior, information systems, marketing, operations
Study program
and technology management, and strategy and organization.
Interdisciplinary areas include international business, entertainment
management, and entrepreneurial studies.

Courses
Management courses are open to Exchange Students. Course
enrollment occurs in June/July.
Language of
All MBA courses are taught in English.
Instruction
Full English fluency is required. We do not have a TOEFL
requirement for exchange students. We do however expect the same
level of fluency as our full time students. For reference the average
Language requirement TOEFL scores are:
260+ for the computer based portion
650+ for the paper based portion
87+ for the internet based TOEFL
Language courses Not available.
Second Year MBA Candidates Only. First year MBA core classes are
not available to exchange students. Non-US citizens/residents
preferred to maintain spirit of true exchange. Work experience
Academic/Experience
preferred. Our students average four to five years of work experience

post baccalaureate. No test scores, transcripts, or student applications
are required.
4 classes (16 units) per quarter are the standard full load. 1 class

= 30 “class contact” hours. 2 classes (8 units) required for a
graduate student to maintain visa status.
Class attendance is mandatory. Group and individual presentations
and projects are standard. Active class participation is a percentage of

the student's final grade. 60-70 students are hosted annually. Late
arrivals are not allowed due to brevity of term.
Letter grading or PASS/No Pass. “B” grade is passing. Transcripts are
considered confidential. Students must directly request and pay for

transcripts from the UCLA Registrar’s Office. Coordinator cannot
provide or disclose grade information.
Format varies as per description in class syllabus. Presentations and

group projects are also common.

Visa J-1 visas are issued for the term of exchange. No other visa types.
A UCLA Bruin Card (student ID card) allows students to access all UCLA
Facilities libraries, Anderson computer lab, recreation services at the John Wooden Center,
and all other student services.
All UCLA Anderson student clubs are open to exchange students. Academic

counselling available upon request. All IEP students receive a lifetime UCLA

Anderson email account and access to UCLA Anderson’s Alumni services.
Orientation Attendance Required Generally held the week before instruction begins.
Internships may be available but not recommended as no degree credit is
