Holy and gracious God, you came to bring justice to the earth but

 THE NICENE CREED
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in our Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the virgin, Mary, and was made
human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried.

Save the Date-Crop Walk in Pedricktown-April 10th
Join us and other churches from Salem and Cumberland
Counties as we seek to raise money for hungry people all
over the world.
Members are reminded when turning on the heat, in various
parts of the building, to return the setting to 55 degrees
before departing.  Your cooperation is appreciated.
Returning to our study of Luke
Over the next few weeks we will be carrying on in our study
of Luke. Why not take some time this week to read chapter
13 in preparation for next week’s sermon? Be sure to bring
Pastor Julia your comments, thoughts and questions.
Pray through our new directory. We now have our updated
2011 directory ready for everyone. Take a copy home with
you and move through the alphabet praying for people in our
congregation and lifting them up before the Lord! We can
all use prayer and while you pray you will be making a huge
difference in individual lives and in our congregation. You
don’t need to know what to pray, just ask the Lord to be at
work in each person’s life and allow the Spirit to guide your
prayers.
A very big “Thank You” goes out to everyone who brought in
a pair of new shoes and/or money donations on “Shoeless
Sunday”. $113 and 51 pairs of shoes were sent to “Shoes for
Orphan Souls” sponsored by Buckner Foundation, Inc. Thank

need your help! We even have two articles already. So
hurry and get us your article while there is still space!

Crock Pot Creations and Talent Show – March 13th-5pm
Entrance fee will be a donation (suggested donation is $5
per person) and will be collected at the door. We are going
to be voting for the best crock pot creations…soups,
deserts, chicken, lasagna, or whatever you can create!
Please fill out the enclosed form and return it to Dana or it
can be placed into the offering plate if you can help in some
way.
We need people to bring crock pot dishes to share (you
decide if you want to enter the contest) and we need folks
to come and eat of course. (Tickets will be available at a
minimal price for purchase to vote on your favorite dish.)
We also need people willing to entertain us. If you have a
talent you are willing to share please sign up for the talent
show. We can have drama, music, poetry, comedy,
demonstrations on how to make certain crafts or any other
gift or talent you would like to share. Feel free to sign up as
a group or as an individual. We will also be having a silent
auction on gift baskets which will start at a minimum bid. If
you have a gift basket or item (or gift/talent or service) you
would like to donate please let us know. What a wonderful
night to come out for fellowship and for supporting our
youth. Please plan to attend!
30 Hour Famine: The Youth Group will be participating this
year in the 30 Hour Famine to help raise money for World
Vision in order to help fight hunger. It is being held on
February 25-26. Volunteers are needed to stay with the
group for blocks of time. They also need someone to make a
“break the fast” meal for 6 pm on Saturday. Something
simple and easy to digest since they will have fasted for 30
hours! Please see the sign up sheet in the narthex.
 MISSION FOCUS THROUGH THE YEAR 2011 The Mission of the Month for February is Family Promise
(Salem County). The mission of Family Promise is “to help

Family Promise is a non-profit organization that is committed

Compassion (HIV/AIDS) acceptance. The network provides a safe haven to stay while
they try to find affordable housing, social service, and/or

helping low-income families achieve lasting independence.
