AN ACT TO AMEND THE RULES IN USING THE INTERNET AND


COMPUTER UNITS OF THE MSC COLLEGE FORMATION CENTER
IN PARTICULAR THE PARAGRAPH IV OF SECTION IV
OF THE EXISTING DIRECTIVES

WHEREAS, the MSC College Formation Center regards Rules in Using the Internet and
Computer Units of the Center of its prime importance to a responsible use of computer units.

WHEREAS, the existing rules in using the internet and computer units of the MSC College
Formation Center are deemed to be appropriate as of time-being.

WHEREAS, the present Coordinating Council, through the supervision of the Formators, has
acknowledged the necessity of amending the Paragraph IV of Section IV of the existing
directives which state:

Anyone who is caught surfing, looking, watching any pornographic items, or any
materials of the same nature, will be banned from using the Internet for one semester. He will be
liable to the formator.

WHEREAS, Pornography refers to films, magazines, writings, photographs, or other materials


that are sexually explicit and intended to cause sexual arousal.

WHEREAS, a firm and well-founded directives have to implemented to secure responsible and
safe usage of the internet and computer units.

NOW THEREFORE, the MSC College Formation Center through an act sponsored by the
Coordinating Council indicating the amendment of the Paragraph IV of Section IV of the
existing Rules in Using the Internet.

HENCEFORTH, the Paragraph IV of Section IV of the existing directives shall be as follows:

Whoever, individual or group, caught surfing, looking, or watching any pornographic


materials or of any media of the same nature, shall be penalized by (1) One Year Ban from using
the Internet and/or Computer Units of the Center; (2) One Semester, or of its equivalence of
Five Months, of No Cellphone Use; (3) One Month of Cleaning Assignment to the Refectory,
Kitchen, and Community CRs; (4) Two Months of not being entitled to Free Days of which shall
be reserved for community services to be specified by the Formators; and in the same manner,
the offender/s shall be required to make a Written and Public Apology. Further, the Center will
take the necessary communications with Parent/s of the offender/s with regard to the violation
being committed and to necessitate a letter from them in the form of response and/or of request
for reconsideration for their son/s.
RESOLVED, that the Coordinating Council shall provide necessary information to the
community so as the latter may be well guided.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Administration, together with the Coordinating Council, shall
implement the undertakings declared on this Act.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that this Act amending the Paragraph IV of Section IV of the existing
Rules in Using the Internet shall be approved by the Administration and by the Coordinating
Council.
