Arrangements are proceeding well for the above-mentioned meeting which you have registered to
attend.
If you now find you are unable to attend for any reason or wish to make changes to your registration
booking, please inform us as soon as possible. The Secretariat regrets that registration fees are
NOT refundable at this stage, although name substitutions will be accepted at any time.
If you have booked accommodation for the meeting, any changes to your booking should be made

REGISTRATION
Registration will be open from 13.00 hrs on Sunday 17th October. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival,
however no lunch will be served. The first session commences at 13.55 hours. Delegates should enter the
Palazzo by the main entrance overlooking the Piazza Bra and the Arena and follow the signs to Registration.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
The Palazzo della Gran Guardia is situated in the centre of Verona, approximately 5 minutes by taxi from the main
railway station Verona Porta Nuova and 20 minutes from the airport.
Parking
There is no parking available at the venue. There is a pay and display car park very close to the Palazzo della Gran
Guardia, the Parcheggio Cittadella. The cost per day (24 hrs) is approx. 12.00. Please visit the following link to

By Air
Verona Villafranca International Airport "Valerio Catullo" is about 12 km from the town centre and well connected
despite its small size.
There is a shuttle bus service to and from the airport every 20 minutes leaving from railway station Verona Porta
Nuova.
A convenient alternative is to fly into Venice, Bergamo or one of Milan’s two airports. Milan Linate is close to the
centre of Milan and Milan Malpensa is a large international airport approximately 1 hour from Milan city centre.
There are excellent rail links between Venice, Bergamo, Milan and Verona.
By Train
The railway station Verona Porta Nuova is at the crossing of two major railway lines with fast direct trains to all
major cities in the north of Italy including Venice, Bergamo and Milan.

By Car
Excellent road and rail links ensure the city is accessible from all parts of Italy. Two main motorways (A4 and A22)
connect the city to Milan, Venice and Modena.
POSTER PRESENTERS
All posters will be on display for the duration of the conference. Posters will be displayed in the
Registration Foyer (Ground Floor) and Auditorium Foyer (Lower Ground Floor).
Chaired Poster Discussion Sessions will take place at the following times:
Sunday 17th October – 18.00-19.00 hrs Poster Sessions P1 – P 7
Monday 18th October – 16.25-17.25 hrs Poster Sessions P8 – P14
Poster presenters must attend their poster during their allocated sessions. Chairmen will speak briefly with each
presenter and delegates are invited to attend these sessions.
CLOAKROOM FACILITIES
A cloakroom will be available on the Lower Ground Floor. Delegates may store luggage in this area on Sunday 17 th
October and Tuesday 19th October. Please note that the cloakroom will not be staffed and items are left at the
Owner’s risk.
INSURANCE
The organisers are unable to accept any responsibility for damage or loss of personal property during the
conference and participants are advised to ensure that such items are adequately insured.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Sunday 17th October 2010 – Welcome Reception
A Drinks Reception will be held during the chaired poster discussion session from 18.00 - 19.00 hrs in the
Registration and Auditorium Foyer. All participants are welcome.
Monday 18th October 2010 – Conference Dinner
A pre-dinner drinks reception followed by the Conference Dinner will take place in the Palazzo e Giardino Giusti
from 20.00 hrs. The awards for the Young Investigators Presentation, Career Development Lecture and the Best
Poster will be announced and presented during the dinner.
If you have not already booked for these events and now wish to attend, please contact us as soon as possible.
Dress Code for the Conference Dinner on Monday evening is lounge suit.
