ME2834 Sejarah Asia Tenggara: Perdagangan Awal

Kursus ini mengkaji perkembangan perdagangan maritim di Asia Tenggara sebelum abad
ke 15 Masehi. Tema utama yang diteliti adalah sejarah awal maritim dan perdagangan.
Ianya meliputi aspek perkapalan, pelabuhan awal, laluan perdagangan, sistem
perdagangan tradisional, kartografi, pengaruh politik dan keagamaan serta kesan-kesan
perdagangan laut ke atas pola pertempatan pesisir pantai dan kerajaan awal di Asia
Tenggara.
