popular networking event. Lucky
Strike Lanes is the premiere upscale
bowling alley and lounge near the Ver-

an evening full of bowling, cocktails,

1k Wine Walk...Cross the start line into
the shops of Crystal City and rest your
weary legs periodically at our hydration
stations along the race course- but you
won’t find any sports drinks or bananas
here- just wine! With 45 wines to sample
before the finish line, spend your Satur-
day walking with friends along the in-
door, underground shops of Crystal
City. Choose heats starting every half
hour from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and make
your way through the race course in the
Shops at Crystal City with your 20 tast-
ing tickets while snacking on cheese and
bread to keep those muscles working.

NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo

Special thanks to all those who volunteered at the NBC4
Health and Fitness Expo held on January 16th-17th at the
Washington Convention Center. Delta Gammas from local
Alumnae and Collegiate Chapters were seen assisting organi-
zations such as Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, Preven-
tion Fighting Blindness and The Lions Club.

Eye Opener- Monthly Vision Tip/Fact:

More than 50 percent of computer users experience eyestrain, headaches and other visual symptoms. In attempts to
avoid those problems try…

 Looking away from your computer at least every 20 minutes and gazing at a distant object (at least 20 feet
away) for at least 20 seconds.

 Blinking your eyes often as it re-wets your eyes to prevent dryness and irritation. The more you blink the
better it is for your eyes.

 Keeping the monitor at a distance of 20 to 30 inches or at least an arm's length from your eyes.

Puppy raisers needed…. No prior experienced needed.

The Guiding Eyes for the Blind is looking for volunteers to help potential guide dog
puppies develop into well-adjusted adults who go on to assist the visually impaired
achieve greater security and independence.
Training and support are provided for all volunteers. If you would like to learn more, go

Happy New Year from Beta Epsilon!

So far this year BE Delta Gammas have been busy with recruitment! Recruitment was flawless thanks to VP Membership
Ariel Jahner, President Gabby Katz, and Director of Recruitment Records Megan Lynch. We even had a 100% return rate
after the 1st round!! January 18th we added 25 new members to our chapter, including two legacies and welcomed back
our Recruitment Counselors!
