Period : May 2007 – August 2007

Team Size : 22 (20 Offshore + 2 Onsite).

Role : Developer

Description : BT has been one of the leading telecom services company for many years in
UK. They planned for a migration of their Billing and Rating platform from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g. The
components that were working on oracle 9i libraries had to be moved to Oracle 10g libraries. The
transition was called has BreCon to AVALON. Now BreCon Rating and Billing platform has been totally
disabled and AVALON is being used for Rating, Billing, Payment and Accounting on LIVE.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Compiled the BreCon components and debugged the PLSQL codes for any transition changes.

• Developed PLSQL Codes for New Transition changes.

• Done Confidence and Unit Testing of the compiled components in the new environment.

 AVALON

Description : ANDES is a new scratch project for Data Migration. It deals with BT GS
Customers to migrate their data from the existing legacy stack to new strategic stack. The account
information and other billing information is moved from existing old system to new system without any
redundancy or without any data loss.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To analyze the source and Target System.

• To prepare the mapping document by mapping the source system fields to appropriate
target system fields.
• To create mapping in ETL tool by implementing the business rules and Validation.
• To load the data into Target system by executing the mappings using informatica and ODI
tool.
• To identify the failed records and load the valid record again to target system.
• To run the bill successfully for a customer after loading the data from Legacy system to
Strategic System.
