 INTRO.
By company’s headquarters / February 2011.
Israel
Shlomi Bitton, born and raised in Israel. He passed
through different art forms of expression,
particularly, the art of choreography (movement
writing). Over the 10 years of his professional quest he
has been developing a very unique and promising voice.
He has been recognized as one of Israel's original
creators and performers. He holds first prizes at two
israeli choreography competitions, two "Ministry of
Culture" prizes as a promising choreographer, and
supports were given by: MASPA - the school of
performing arts in Kibbutz Gaaton, home for his first
creations, mentored by the wonderful Mrs.Yehudit
Arnon ; at the Acco Theater Center (in his home town)
where he initiated the dance platform (the Hamama);
the Israeli Choreographers Association, that unites all
independent israeli choreographers; the Pais (lottery)
Foundation, the Sharet Foundation (America-Israel
Cultural Foundation), Suzanne Dellal Center, the Israeli
Ministry of Culture, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and different israeli festivals, cultural centers, and
schools that hosted his creation processes and
performances.
The world
Internationally, Shlomi has been recognized by the
luxurious artistic initiative "The Rolex Mentor and
Protege Arts Initiative", as one of its 4 finalists for the
2003-2005 cycle (Mentor: Saburo Teshigawara). He has
been invited to international competitions in Holland,
Germany, Japan and Spain. He passed
outstandingly through all of them and won prizes (see
page 8) in Germany (Hannover and Stuttgart - 3 prizes)
and Spain (Burgos, Grand Canria, Madrid - 4 prizes). He
created for professional companies and schools/
conservatories (Austria, Germany, Spain and Israel) and
to sum it up, he has toured so far between: Israel, Czhec
Republic, Poland, France, Croatia, Austria, Germany,
USA, Spain, Holland, Italy and Japan.
Spain - the present
Nowadays in Spain, based in Madrid, leading a new path
of expansion, seeking for that variety the world has to
offer.
Since late 2008, Shlomi has been creating/composing
original music, writing songs, for his own
creations, as well as short video pieces, depicting
theatrical characters, written and directed by himself.  Shlomi Bitton & Company headquarters. "
These are done in his desire and need to play, to create,
using different media, crossing different disciplines...
exploring ways to tell stories.

Among prizes in 3 different Spanish choreographic
competitions, collaborations have been made during
2010 with: Casa Sefarad Israel, the Israeli Embassy in
Madrid, Alcalá de Henares University, Canal Dance
Center Madrid (as temporary resident company),
Mercat de Les Flors in Barcelona, SNEO Mestizaje
Projects in Madrid (Current Co-Producers) and a
recent support for creation from Madrid’s Regional
Government (Comunidad de Madrid). All these have
helped to develop his recent creation, “The Teaser
Trilogy".
Also, Shlomi is leading his new and exciting “You are the
creator” workshop/classes... a training system that is
open to and designed for a variety of professionals and
non professionals from different fields... for all people :-).
He has been guest teacher at the Conservatorio
Superior de Danza de Madrid, at the Institute del Teatre
in Barcelona, and at the RESAD (Real Escuela Superior
de Arte Dramático), Madrid.
The future
"Shlomi Bitton and Company" is in its process
of becoming an established company, wherever
possible. A new brand that will promote all its talented
collaborators, locally and internationally.
We are seeking more offers, performers, collaborators,
sponsors, hosts, ideas, suggestions and such :-) ... all that
will help us reach continuation, reach fruition, reach the
audiences that seeks for the pleasure we have to offer.
Shlomi is constantly searching for ways to offer positive
ideas and inspirations to people, through performance
arts. A creator, the entertaining kind, who wishes to
share with a variety of people, the thought that we are
all "c r e a t o r s"! and that happiness is our common
heritage, and a reason for positive changes in our
reality☺.

Teaser 3: “Get the money and run!” - trio (work in process).

The third chapter of the ‘Teaser’ trilogy, exposed as a work in process for an open dialog with the wide
audience of ‘Centro Cultural Eduardo Urculo’, January 29th 2011, Madrid , Spain.
Supported by the Comunidad de Madrid (Madrid’s regional government), Sneo Mestizaje Projects
and Centro de danza Canal, Madrid.

Teaser 2: “Where you heading fool!?” - trio.

Mixing original music (Shlomi’s), dance, theater and live cinema (video). Premiered in Backstage
(BCSTX’10) Festival, Tantarantana Theater, Barcelona, june 2nd and 3rd 2010 (Mercat de les Flors
production). Developed in the ‘Canal Dance Center’ Madrid, Spain.

Stay together, it will be all over soon I promise – 16 dancers.

Teaser 1: “Corre, Shlomi, Corre!” - ( in english “Run, Shlomi, Run!”), 15 performers.

Created while residency period in Alcala de Henares University, Spain, and in collaboration with the
Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Madrid and its students. Premiered as guest company at the
23rd National Competition for Choreography (XXIII Certamen Coreografico de Madrid),
Madrid , Spain, December 2009.

Bidderman, in Bielefeld, Germany. A creation for 8 performers accompanied by 8 percussionists and 2
singers, based on “part 2- Drumming”- by Steven Reich. Premier on the 21st of April 2007, Bielefeld.
