Morning Brief by Anthony Crudele

It is the fi rst da y of the month and that means we rall y. The strea k of hi gher closes is from Jul y 2010. Overnight we tra ded up to 1336.50 getting
close to the high of the year. This morning we ha ve Crude and Gold both hi gher as well . It seems as though they a re buying everything toda y
except the Dollar and Ten Yea r Notes. I am bullish toda y as long as we can s ta y above 1326.75. I ha ve double resistance from my weekl y and dail y
numbers a round 1339.00. If we viola te that toda y we could see the hi gh of the yea r ta ken out a t 1343.00 and then on to test resistance a t
1352.00. It is ha rd for me to be overl y bullish when they a re buying both Crude and Gold because when we were brea king those were the safe
ha vens, but the cha rts don’t lie and we look like we can all rall y together, for now. I will be keeping my eyes on Crude to see how we rea ct if they
get back above 100.00 because this mi ght put pressure on s tocks . Data toda y is ISM and consensus is 60.5, a number above 62 or below 58 could
be a ma rket mover and Cons truction Spending consensus is -0.8%, I don’t think this will be a ma rket mover. The mos t important news for the da y
is Bernanke spea king a t 10:00 a .m. EST talking about his semi -annual moneta ry policy report. Anyti me Bernanke speaks he ca n move the ma rket.
Also keep an ea r open for any changes i n Mi ddle Eas t. I am trading small toda y because I feel this trade toda y is going to be choppy and tough.
