Role Summary
We are presently recruiting for an Enterprise Data Architect in the Information Services
department
Role-Specific Accountabilities
• Develops strong relationships with leaders across #####, and aligns the objectives
and approaches of the Enterprise Architecture team with the evolving needs of those
partners
• Collaborates broadly to ensure that Enterprise Data Architecture requirements,
principles and models are leveraged and enhanced by #####’s investment, operations
and technology teams to achieve their strategic objectives
• Invests in developing a deep understanding of #####’s business strategy, investment
programs and the Total Portfolio Approach. Focuses on dimensions including
organization, business processes, investment data and systems
• Creates and communicates a long-term data architecture vision that balances short
and long term goals. Keeps your own and team’s work aligned with #####’s goals,
understands the investment management landscape and proactively adjust strategic
plans
• Facilitates business planning and the development of cross functional strategies, and
enables the use of operating models, blueprints and other architecture artifacts to
contribute to identifying the capabilities needed to achieve enterprise goals
• Creates data architecture standards and artifacts following ##### Data Strategy.
These include common data models, common data vocabulary, metadata, data flow
models, and canonical interface definitions (data services)
• Creates ##### data asset inventory, develops in-depth understanding of data usage
patterns across #####, and develops appropriate principles and guidelines on data
storage, system-of-records, data integration and distribution
• Provides data architecture support towards the creation and enhancement of #####
Managed Data Stores, including ##### Common Security Master, Time Series
Solution and common Portfolio Data
• Creates and supports the implementation of ##### Metadata Strategy
• Partners with Infrastructure and Integration Architects to define the physical
implementation of ##### Data Architecture, including DBMS platform architecture,
data integration and transport platforms architecture
• Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture colleagues to describe the functions
associated with the enterprise's business activities, the data and/or information
exchanged between activities, and the data and/or information exchanged with other
activities that are outside the scope of the model
• Works with project delivery teams and stays informed on their progress. Works with
solution architects and other colleagues to ensure that the Enterprise Data
Architecture supports, advances and integrates with the enterprise models and with
specific solution architectures
