Class 4: As class 3, expert root pass may be made without filler.
Class 5: Double side welded using filler material and spot radio graphed.
Materials This specification covers 19 grades of material steel. The plate material comply
with the requirements of ASTM A - 240. Most commonly manufactured grades
are 304, 304L, 304H, 316, 316L 310.

Thickness: NB Size in Schedule 5, 10, 10s, 40, 40s

Process Of The pipes are manufacutred from levelled plates which are edge bevelled and
Manufacture progessively "O" formed on hydraulic presses. The edges of the pipe are either
manually TIG welded or continuously welded on Track and Boom. Weld portion
is radiographed as per requirements. Annealing of pipe is carried out on
continuous furnace. Pipe is further straightened, sized, end finished, pressure
tested, pickled and passivated, marked and packed.
Thickness: Minimum thickness at any point not more than 0.3 mm under
nominal Thick.
Due to variations between different specifications comparisons made exactly, physical, chemical and
mechanical values are also typical and should not be taken as being accurate.
