4.1 Language Learning and Global Literacy Program

(1) Tutorial Language Learning Program


-One tutor gives lessons to four students so that
students easily
acquire basic speaking skill.
-Small-class lessons are provided for 10 weeks
(twice a week,
20 lessons in total).
-Consequently, 80% or more of students have
improved their scores
in TOEIC and TOEFL.

4.1 Language Learning and Global Literacy Program

(2) Cross-Cultural Distance Learning (CCDL)


-Students interact with students of partner universities once a
week through on-line text and voice chat.
-This program is designed to improve communication skills and
encourage efforts for mutual understanding by exchanging
opinions on topics such as lifestyle, culture, sports, education and
religion.
-More than 6,000 students of Waseda University and overseas
universities took classes last year.

Miscommunication”

teleconference systems.
