Roles as CFO

future. Such issues might include the development of an
company acquisition strategy to help fuel additional growth, or

that no longer match the company's business objectives.

member of the management team of a growing entrepreneurial
company.

Roles as CTO

The CTO role is a solid investment for most corporations and its value
is derived from its function, not its seat at the table. Specifically, the
CTO, as the right hand of the CIO, provides the company with an
executive-level subject matter expert on the issues surrounding the
technologies that the CIO must employ in order to achieve the
company’s strategic objectives.

solutions to meet current and future needs
7. Lead the execution of technology strategy for technology
platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
8. Build and manage a top-flight technology team and oversee
research and development, as well as project management.
9. Provide visible leadership for the company within the technology
community.
10. Anticipate and react to major technology changes to
ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the
competitive landscape.

ROLES AS CIO
The main role is to ensure all the technology resources of the firm are
managed in accord with the company’s needs and priorities. Those
resources include tangible investments like computer hardware,
software, data, networks and data centre facilities, as well as the staffs
who are hired to maintain them. Managing this responsibility within a
company entails many of the basic management functions, like
budgeting, staffing, organizing and controlling, plus aspects that are

unique to technology, like change management, software design,
network planning, tech support and others
