Weight Loss Diet

This program is designed for a target weight loss of 5-6 Kgs. per week. It will
also improve your attitude and emotions because of its systematic cleansing effe
cts. The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the foods eaten burn more
calories than they give to the body in caloric value. This plan can be used as o
ften as you like to without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush y
our system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days
you will begin to feel lighter by atleast 10 pounds. You will have an abundance
of energy and an improved disposition.
During the first seven days you must drink 10 glasses of water each day.
DAY ONE
All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consists of all fruits you want.
It is suggested you consume lots of watermelon and cantaloupe.
DAY TWO
All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the new
and cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the account or type.
Avoid oil and coconut while cooking vegetables. Have large boiled potato for br
eakfast.
DAY THREE
Any mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. N
o bananas yet and no potatoes today.
DAY FOUR
Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three gl
asses of milk. You can also have one bowl of vegetables soup.
DAY FIVE
Today is a feast day. You will eat 1 (one) cup of rice. You also have to eat 6 (
six) whole tomatoes and drink 12 (twelve) glasses of water today to cleanse your
system of the excess uric acid you will be producing.
DAY SIX
Today is another all vegetables day. You must eat 1 cup of rice today and eat al
l the vegetables you want cooked and uncooked to your heart's content.
DAY SEVEN
Today your food intake will consist of 1 cup rice, fruit juice and all the veget
ables you care to consume. Tomorrow morning you will be five to eight kilograms
lighter than 1 week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program a
gain. Repeat the program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you
rest for three days before every repetition.
You have your system under control now and it will thank you for all the purging
and cleansing you just gave it. Even more than a diet program it is good to fol
low this diet once in a while to clean your digestive system and remove toxic su
bstances that have accumulated in the system.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The most important element of the program is the 10 (ten) tall glasses of water
a day. You can also flavour the water will some lemon to make the drink easier.
While on the program, take only black coffee and never more than one teaspoon of
oil. Preferably do not use oil because the high calorific content. No fruit jui
ces before day seven.
Here is what happens to your body while you are on this program and how and why
it works.
Day 1: You are preparing your system for the upcoming program. Your only source
of nutrition is fresh fruits. Fruits are nature's perfect food. They provide eve
rything you can possibly want to sustain life except total balance and variety.
Day 2: Starts with a fix complex carbohydrates in the form of a boiled potato. T
his is taken in the form of a boiled potato and taken in the morning to provide
energy and balance. The rest of the day too consists of vegetables which are vir
tually calories free and provide essential nutrients and fibre.
Day 3: Eliminates the potato because you get your carbohydrates from fruits. You
r system is now prepared to start burning excess pounds. You will have cravings,
which should start to diminish by day four.
Day 4: Bananas and milk. You are in for a surprise. You probably will not be abl
e to eat all the bananas allowed. But they are there for the potassium you have
lost and the sodium you may have missed during the last three days. You will not
ice a definite loss of desire for sweets and you will be surprised at how easy t
his day will go.
Day 5: Rice and tomatoes. The rice is for the carbohydrates and the tomatoes are
for the digestion and the fibre. Drinking a lot of water purifies your system.
You should notice colourless urine today. If you do not feel like having one cup
rice, you may eat less. But you may eat six tomatoes.
Day 6: It is similar to day five. Vitamins and fibre from the vegetables and car
bohydrates from the rice. By now your system is in a total weight loss inclinati
on. There should be a noticeable difference in the way you look today compared t
o day one.
Day 7: You may celebrate with champagne. You may also have white wine instead of
champagne, but in all practical programs, and in all surveys done to measure th
e success of the program, General Motors employees have always preferred champag
ne to white wine.
More than one cup of coffee with milk is especially forbidden. Milk and oil add
empty calories to your diet. Avid coffee lovers can console themselves with blac
k coffee. However, after the first week, it will help your digestion and set you
r stomach. The key thing to remember is that if you are hungry at any time, then
you are not following the diet correctly. Almost all people give up the diet wh
en they are hungry because of dieting. The secret of this program is that you sh
ould never hungry. If it is a vegetable day, eat so much vegetables that you are
never hungry. If it is a fruits day, eat so much fruits that you are never hung
ry. You may be bored of eating vegetables all day, but you should not be hungry.
You can take any amount of General Motors wonder soup on any day.

WONDER SOUP
The following soup is intended as a supplement to your diet. It can be eaten any
time of the day in virtually unlimited quantities. You are encouraged to drink
large quantities of this soup.
â ¢ 23 oz water
â ¢ 06 large onions
â ¢ 02 green peppers
â ¢ 03 whole tomatoes
â ¢ 1 cabbage
â ¢ 1 bunch celery - add herbs and seasoning as desired.
This program is highly recommended for women and men above 40 for whom excess we
ight is especially dangerous. Excess weight for women aggravates arthritis probl
ems and leads to rapid joint decay. Pain and joint deterioration can be lessened
by weight loss as weight loss removes the stress on the knee joint. Excess weig
ht is the most critical factor in keeping good health and excess weight is respo
nsible for the most problems including coronary diseases, heart problems, arthri
tis and cancer among other serious life threatening diseases. Most serious healt
h problems can be avoided by the single function of maintaining an ideal weight.
Daily mild exercise of 20 minutes is also essential. Do not tire yourself out,
but being regular in your exercise and maintaining an ideal weight goes a long w
ay in ensuring a happy, healthy and long life.
On The Importance of Managing Your Digestive System
Ever noticed children? Unless a child is born with a disorder or disease at birt
h, babies are examples of clean, pristine bodies. A baby doesn't simply survive
on mother's milk - it thrives! Can you imagine an adult surviving on only milk?
Probably not. Except for the fact that each child has a distinct mother, nothing
much changes about the milk (if you excuse the mothers' diets a bit).
Cut to adulthood. Have you ever heard of experiences with food and medicines whi
ch seemed to work miracles on others but never worked on you? Have you heard of
remission in people with psoariasis/eczema/cancer/whatever and wondered why they
never happen to you? It isn't that nothing will work on you, but only that as w
e grow up, each body experiences a different environment and grows differently.
Your food, immediate environment, mental states, family - all have direct effect
s on your mind and your body.
The mind is something which is very hard to define. Or identify. Or work on. Apa
rt from simply saying that we need to be strong-willed and positive at all times
, we can simply leave it out of the picture for want of any better way to handle
it (in this context).
But all humans have very similar bodies and body compositions by design. And eac
h cell in the body is generated out of the food we eat. You will definitely not
find wheat inside your blood or any cell! But depending on what you eat, levels
of various chemicals in your body will vary. Hormone levels will differ. Enzymes
will have different levels of existence. Nutrient/mineral levels in your liver
and bones will change.
But more importantly, depending on what you eat, and how, your digestive system
will change, and more often than not, degrade over your lifetime. It gathers gar
bage faster, the more you eat low-fibre, sticky food. In our quest to quench our
tongue's insatiable hunger for taste, and the race to extract the most out of a
n acre of land by using all kinds of hybrids and unnatural pesticides and the li
ke, we are racing towards a very gloomy future. Why is it that we now have more
incidences of serious disorders and diseases all around, as compared to the time
s in the past (there are many who would not agree - but that's a topic for anoth
er debate)? That is because, amongst other things, we aren't eating right!
That brings us to the central theme of this page - given the state of the world
today, is there one more thing we can do to bring some sanity in our lives? We c
an not easily change the world, but we can indeed change ourselves in minor ways
- for our own benefit. I believe so. And let me start with an analogy.
Have you observed filters of any kind? If the filters are clogged with useless s
tuff (dirt, in other words), they do not perform at their maximum efficiency. Ad
ditionally, if you allow the dirt to stay for too long, and if it is organic mat
erial, in all probability, it will undergo changes - more precisely, decay and g
ather toxic material. So, the filtered material not just miss out on important c
omponents (if they get blocked by the dirt), but might additionally contain trac
es of toxic material too.
Our intestines are akin to such filters. They are the body's doors to nutrition.
We need to make sure that they are in shape, performing at maximum efficiency a
t all times, and are not clogged with dirt. A very simple inference of this obse
rvation (if you agree) is to avoid constipation by all means. But it is a lot mo
re complex than this.
Constipation is just one manifestation of the problems of our digestive system.
One could have a feeling of never being constipated, but could be always collect
ing dirt on the walls of the intestine! And then, all medicines/vitamins/nutrien
ts you might be taking might not be reaching your body in the intended manner an
d amount. Or, the medicines that seem to work on a co-patient never seem to work
right on you! So, it is in my not-so-humble opinion very important to maintain
one's digestive system in good shape. Towards the end, I list a few ways I have
found useful to keep one's system in shape. Your mileage may vary, and you might
have also come across other techniques.
There are umpteen "body/kidney/liver cleansing" one seems to come across often o
n the web. I am not sure about their correctness or efficacies, nor do I underst
and their theory too well. But I would not dismiss them simply because I am not
in a position to pass any judgement. My only guiding principle in mentioning som
ething in a recommending tone here is that either I have experienced it myself,
or know of some verifiable/trustworthy source who has.
A few tips (even if simple and obvious as they might sound!):
â ¢ Drink water often
â ¢ Do brisk exercises
â ¢ Eat lots of fruits. And in troubled times (constipation!), make it a point to
have a guava after every meal. It helps if the guavas are a bit raw.
â ¢ Take a spoonful of Triphala every night. Make sure you take it atleast 90
minutes after you eat anything. (More on this in another article).
â ¢ Practise the yogasanas Vajraasan and Praanaayaam (various forms).
