WHY TREAT COMPRESSED AIR
A compressor takes in atmospheric air that is loaded with moisture, dirt, dust
fibers and bacteria. Due to constant use, wear & tear, most compressors deliver
large amounts of oil fumes along with compressed air. The hot air delivered by a
compressor carries contaminants which cause corrosion, excessive wear,
malfunction and ultimately failure of your compressed air components, tools and
system. To assure a reliable and efficient operation of a plant, these
contaminants must be removed.

Regeneration - Heatless
Loading time after each load situation
tB = 3 - 5 min. Adsorption of moisture
on external desiccant surface.

Regeneration without heat supply instead with a partial

flow (typically 15%) of already dried and expanded
compressed air in the counter current direction.

Fundamentals
Regeneration - Heated
Loading time after each load set-up
tB = 4 - 8 h. Adsorption of moisture on
external surfaces and internal pores
of desiccant beads.

Regeneration with externally heated air in order to

evaporate the moisture that is accumulated deep in the
pores. The regeneration medium carrys the moisture out
from the desiccant & is exhausted out of the plant room.

Vacuum Heat Regen (Zero Purge) Dryer
Can Help Companies to Save Energy!

 Does not use valuable

compressed air for regeneration of
desiccant
 Ambient air is used for both the
heat regeneration cycle & cooling
cycle
 Autodew control for Dewpoint
Dependent Switching (DDS) to
maximize energy savings

Daily Maintenance
Visual Check

• Unusual noises
• Check for any alarm
• Check dewpoint
• Check inlet pressure & temperature
• Check that filter condensate drain is working
• Check drain pipe for blockage

Confidential
Weekly Maintenance
Visual Check
• Check Filter’s differential pressure indicator. If in
region of 8~10 psi indicates that element is dirty &
should be replaced
•Inspect inlet suction filter & clean or replace if
clogged, dirty or damaged

Confidential
Monthly Maintenance
• Check silencers/mufflers on dryer and
replace if clogged or dirty
• Check dryer operation cycle for proper
operation of butterfly valves & solenoid
valves.
• Check if heater outlet temp is between 350
degF & 450 degF (Press Shift F7)

Confidential
Annual Maintenance
• Replace the suction inlet filter
• Replace elements of Pre, After-filters &
Final air filter at least once a year
• Disassemble, clean & inspect all check
valves (if possible)
• Calibration of Autodew sensor
