Instructional material is an essential factor in the teaching and learning process. It is

essential for the acquisition of the different concepts in learning, but it depends on how

teachers prepared, designed and presented instructional materials and managed the students

because learning would only take place if there is interdependent relationship among

teachers and students.

The researcher¶s attempt to evaluate and enhance the instructional module has

come naturally as part of improving the learning experiences of the students. With a

commitment to guide the students towards excellence in nursing service, the instructional

module was aimed to provide alternative ways in enhancing learning process which are

research based and something that address the learner¶s preferences and needs.

The study attempted to assess the learners¶ profile in terms of their multiple

intelligences and the students evaluation of the effectiveness of instructional material used

in community health nursing. To achieve the purpose of this study, the researcher used a

descriptive evaluative design which assessed the relevance of an instructional module for

teaching community health nursing at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, College

of Nursing and llied Health Sciences. The researcher focused on the evaluation of

students on the effectiveness of existing community health nursing instructional materials

and their profile based on multiple intelligences. It also includes the extent of

implementation on the use of SSURE model as a guide in developing the module.

With the evaluation involving fifty four (54) students using the weighted arithmetic

mean to measure the weights of the answers of the respondents regarding their multiple

intelligences? The study revealed that among the multiple intelligences of the students,

Musical intelligence and interpersonal intelligences have the highest frequency in the

population while visual spatial intelligence has the lowest frequency. fter the application

of statistical treatment, it has been found out that students evaluated the effectiveness of

instructional material for community health nursing. Specifically, the balance of

instructional objectives, the relevance of instructional objectives, the infusion of values in

the lesson, the attractiveness, congruency and relevance of learning activities.

For the enhancement of the learning experiences of the students, the researcher

recommends to the administrators, to utilize the findings of this study in serving as a guide

for selecting or creating instructional module in teaching the community health nursing.

The nursing students will also benefit from this study as the primary end users of the

proposed instructional material. The proposed material is aimed to aid them in

understanding and retaining information¶s deemed necessary to prepare them for

community health nursing service. It will serve as guide in facing different challenges of

their students life particularly concerning community health nursing. Likewise, it is

beneficial to the instructors and professors of the community health nursing subject; the

design of the material is to help them pace the teaching-learning process in an

individualized manner. Moreover, it will build up their confidence as they use a

programmed instructional material and also inspire them to do other instructional materials

in the future. Thus it is proposed by the researcher that the output of this study be used in

teaching community health nursing by nurse educators. Lastly, the researcher advocated

the future researcher to make a study regarding the validation of the IM after its first year

of implementation and to have a study on the multiple intelligences of the students and

multiple intelligences College of Nursing and llied Health Sciences (CNHS) faculty.
