FAIRY TALE THEATER 1: 9 a.m.-noon June
13-17. Participants ages 5-9 will learn the
basics of character development, play theater
games and perform in a production of a favorite
fairy tale.
BASIC ACTING: 1:30-4:30 p.m. June 13-17. Ages 10-18
will examine the elements of creating a performance on
stage, including voice, movement and character
development. No prior acting experience required.
BACK STAGE PASS: 1:30-4:30 p.m. June 13-17. Ages 11-18
will learn how to design, paint and build sets for the stage.
Students will not be on stage but will create the stage for
performing. Will not culminate with an on-stage performance.
However, they may also be able to work the summer musical as a technician.
STAGE ESCAPE: 9 a.m.-noon June 20-24. Ages 5-9 will examine the elements
of creating a performance on stage, including voice, movement and character
development. Participants will perform a mini production on stage.
IMPROVISATION AND SCENIC ARTISTRY: 1:30-4:30 p.m. June 20-24. This
two-part camp for ages 10-18 will focus first on improvisation through games
and exercises and then on techniques for painting theater sets. No previous
improv or artistic skills needed.
HAVE A BANG WITH CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG: 9 a.m.-noon June 27-July 1.
Ages 5-9 will perform songs from the show and learn how the inner workings
of a show comes to life on stage.
STAGE MAKE-UP AND LIGHTING: 1:30-4:30 p.m. June 27-July 1. Ages 10-18 will
learn how to apply stage make-up to create some of the stage’s best loved
characters.
FAIRY TALE THEATER 2: 9 a.m.-noon July 11-15. Participants ages 5-9 will learn
the basics of character development, play theater games and perform in a
production of a favorite fairy tale.
ADVANCED ACTING: 1:30-4:30 p.m. July 11-15. Ages 10-18 will learn how to
create a character through scene study. Will work on selections from various
plays to break down the beats and rhythms of the script. Scenes will be
challenging and require previous acting experience.
CREATIVE DRAMATICS: 9 a.m.-noon July 18-22. Ages 5-9 will perform in a short
