From the East:
Brothers, as usual April and May will be the busiest months as we
approach the Grand Communication at the end of May. We will
be hosting the two most informative events that lead up to the
Grand Communications.

The first event is the Zone 3 Legislative meeting on the 13
where the proposed legislation will be discussed. If you want to
know what has been proposed and why the Jurisprudence
Committee approves or disapproves of individual proposals,
please join us for this discussion.

The second is the 11 and 12 Masonic District Association
th
meeting on the 27 . For most of the years that our lodge has
hosted this event, it has been a great opportunity to meet the
candidates for Junior Grand Warden. While this year’s candidate
runs unopposed, we still hope that he will be available to attend.

WILL be served prior to all meetings and special
events.
Secretary’s Corner
Dues payments! Need I say more! I got two last week
but there are still many to go.
As the Worshipful Master wrote we have a large
number of new petitions to process. This is a duty that
all members of the Lodge must do so please let me
know when you are available and I’ll get the form to
you.
We still have over 200 members receiving their
Trestleboard by “snail mail”. This costs the Lodge over
$100 per month where email is FREE if you have an
internet connection. I know many of you receiving your
Trestleboard by snail mail do have email addresses so
please get your current email to me at
chasam66@comcast.net.
I just know that one of our members would like to be
Secretary next year. Please come and talk to me.
With a score of 935 in the District Ritual Competition, the District
Competition Team will move onto the Zone 3 competition at our
lodge on April 16th. The score from this competition will be
matched with the rest in the region to determine who will go on to
compete at the state level in May. There will be very few practice
opportunities before the Zone Competition, so please make the
ones you can.
Don’t forget to purchase tickets to the Dinner and Dance,
benefiting the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, our Grand
Lodge’s flagship charity. We all know how prevalent heart
problems plague our fraternity and society. Your donations to
MMRL bring us closer to new cures and preventions.
It is also not too late to purchase tickets for the Roast of Most
Worshipful Elmer Coffman. As well known, and being the
jokester that he is, people will be coming from all over to get their
jabs in. It should turn out to be a hilarious evening.
If you can’t attend either event for scheduling reasons, consider
purchasing tickets for someone else that may not attend for
financial reasons.

We will have a Master Mason Degree on the 25 . Worshipful Jeff
Foster will sit in the east for the first half and Brother Corey
Kosciuszko will sit in the east for the second half. Please contact
them to assist with this degree.
I will be contacting brothers for investigations. We have quite a
few to do and I would like to try and get them into an Entered
Apprentice Degree in June. If you want to volunteer, up front,
contact Worshipful Charlie or myself. If you have brothers whom
you like to partner up with to do these, let us know this.
The Secretary’s job for next year still has no candidates. If you think you might like
the job please contact me.
