5) Select the Export Configuration of the local service to a file and click OK.
6) The next screen will prompt for location and a name for the DHCP backup file as shown
below
7) Select F: ( mapped drive of FS1, mapped to \\ibmempindfs1\d$\System-
State\ibmempinddns\DHCP) and create a folder under F: and name the folder to the
current date as shown below
8) Select the newly created folder and give a name to the DHCP Backup file as “DHCP” as
shown below and select save.
9) Next screen will prompt for selecting the DHCP scopes to export. Select all the scopes,
do not check “Disable the selected scopes on the local machine before export” and click
the export button as shown below
First step in bringing up the DNS and DHCP services in IBMEMPINDPS2, the DNS servers
in the network settings of IBMEMPINDPS2 have to be modified to the following:
8) Once the server is authorized, the DHCP server is ready to serve the DHCP requests.
