Every moment of our life we are surrounded by factors like society and
environment. It is necessary for nervous system to give response against
those factors. Body responds to the environmental factor by change in
physiological conditions. Environmental factors may be temperature,
humidity etc. If temperature rises in surrounding atmosphere, sweating
may result. These processes which take place in response to such
environmental factors are gover_________ (involuntary) ned To give
the proper response, a process takes place in the 2
brain and the result is called as thoughts. Thoughts are related with our
memory and experience and make the one¶s character.
 c
Anger Timidity
Free mind Confidence
Mathematical ability Leadership
Musical ability Seriousness
Attitude Concentration
Reading habit Quick decision
Likeness or unlikeness Learning ability
Diet Experimental accuracy etc«

When traits are combined, it leads to person¶s behavior and personality.

If we want prove that our thoughts or character are due to inheritance,
first of all we have to prove that our thoughts are due to our genetic
material.
DNA is the genetic material.
For that we should take example of person having same genetic blue
print.
Identical twins are with the same genetic blue print.
The person with same genetic blue print is if having same thoughts and
though character, we can say that they are due to genetic material that is
DNA.

After fertilization, mitosis takes place After this first division, these
progeny cells Separate from each other.
Each one reacts as an independent zygote, and develops in to independent
individuals with same genetic blue print.
Whatever mutation has taken in the gametes, even that mutation is same
in both zygotes

This is Real life example
Two twins were born in Ohio (America) 1940. One was Jim Springers &
second was Jim Luis.
They grew completely in different environment & family.
After 39 years, in 1979 accidentally, both of them met each other.
America¶s MINNESOTA UNIVERSITY¶S professors were involved in
twin study and collection of data on such cases.
They were called and exemplified.
Actual confusion of Psychologists started when they noticed that -
1. Both brothers were far from each other. They were meeting for first
time. Both brothers grew in different environments.
2. For 39 years they were far away from each other but mentally, for a
moment they were not too far!!!!
3. Both married twice:
4. Both¶s first wife¶s name was LINDA
5. Both don¶t like their wife LINDA
6. Both took divorce from first wife LINDA.
7. Both married second time after first divorce.
8. AGAIN both married with same name lady, is BITI.
9. Both had two sons. And both were named:
A. elder¶s name was James Alaan.
B. Second¶s name was James Alan.
10. Once again both the children were given the same name.
11. Moreover, on investigating they f ound that both of them liked use
Chevrolet with the same model and color
12. Even their dogs had same name. -TOY
13. They had made benches in their gardens with no difference in their
difference in their design.
14. The favorite place for spending vacations was also the same sea shore
in Florida.

Frank and fil interlandy, twins American brother born with same genetic
blueprint. both joint Chicago academy of fine arts. Both get job together.
Their style of drawing cartoons was absolutely same. This story is not so
identical as karah and Sarah, twins sister. Once in the exam of math,
karah and Sarah both attain 192 out of 200 and not a ttempted question
were same!!!...
Two twin brother named, Tim and Grag were painter. We can
called as them identical painter. In their painting nothing can be different
if situation or topic is same for painting. If they start drawing fr om
different corner of canvas when they come to center the painting will be
complete«!!!
Again relation between America¶s Donald kith and his
brother Luis kith was absolutely like miracle story. Once during walking
on road Donald fill pain in his body, fill like current body pass through
him. he sit on the road , people call ambulance and send him to hospital.
÷
O ! After few hour he call
his brother ,then he come to know that before some hour Luis also fill
pain in his body and saved from major accident.
HOW CAN BE IT POSSIBLE???...
Oskar stohr and jack yufe were identical twins separated at
birth. Oskar was taken to Germany where he was brought up by his
grandmother as a Christian. Jack was raised by his father in I srael as a
Jew. The two brothers were reunited at the age of 47. Despite the
different environmental influences, their behavior patterns and
personalities were remarkably similar«
2? Both men had moustaches, wore two pocket shirts, and wire -
rimmed glasses.
2? Both loved spicy food and tended to fall asleep in front of
television.
2? Both flushed the toilet before using.
2? Both stored rubber bands on their wrist.
2? Both read magazine from back to front.
2? Both liked to sneeze in a room of strangers
Besides this many examples there are many such studies
conducted on identical twins point out the importance of
genes on the inherited characters related to personality and
mannerisms.

Mental Illness, disorder characterized by disturbances in a

, emotions, or behavior. The term mental illness can refer to a
wide variety of disorders, ranging from those that cause mild distress to
those that severely impair a person¶s ability to function.
AS Mental disorder is the result of our thoughts, by proving that mental
illness are due to gene we can say that our thoughts are due to genes.

1. People with major depression may feel that nothing brings pleasure and
that life is so dreary and unhappy that it is better to be dead.
2. People who experience episodes of mania may engage in reckless
sexual behavior or may spend money indiscriminately, acts that later
cause them to feel guilt, shame, and desperation.
3. Mood disorders, also called affective disorders, create disturbances in a
Person¶s emotional life.
4. Symptoms of depression may include feelings of sadness,
hopelessness, and worthlessness.
5. Research suggests that the genes one inherits strongly influence one¶s
risk of developing schizophrenia. Studies of families have shown that the
more closely one is related to someone with schizophrenia, the greater the
risk one has of developing the illness. For example, the children of one
parent with schizophrenia have about a 13 percent c hance of developing
the illness, and children of two parents with schizophrenia have about a
46 percent chance of eventually developing schizophrenia. This increased
risk occurs even when such children are adopted and raised by mentally
healthy parents. In comparison, children in the general population have
only about a 1 percent chance of developing schizophrenia.
6. In case of XYY SYNDROME. Their physical growth is more due to
increased hormonal level and aggressive in nature. It is found that their
mental IQ remains normal. According to survey it was found that they
were mostly in prison or mental institutes.
7. Psychiatry has increasingly emphasized a biological basis for the
causes of mental illness. Studies suggest a genetic influence in some
mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, although the
evidence is not conclusive.
8. Scientists have identified a number of neurotransmitters, or chemical
Substances that enable brain cells to communicate with each other that
appear important in regulating a person¶s emotions and behavior. These
include dopamine, serotonin, nor epinephrine, gamma -amino butyric acid
(GABA), and acetylcholine. Excesses and deficiencies in levels of these
neurotransmitters have been associated with depression, anxi ety, and
schizophrenia, but scientists have yet to determine the exact mechanisms
involved.
9. A variety of medical conditions can cause mental illness. Brain damage
and strokes can cause loss of memory, impaired concentration and
speech, and unusual changes in behavior. In addition, brain tumors, if left
to grow, can cause psychosis and personality changes. Other possible
biological factors in mental illness include $%O$ ,
deficiencies in diet, and from viruses.
10. Individuals who develop post-traumatic stress disorder may become
angry easily, experience disturbing memories, and have trouble
concentrating.
11. Suicidal behavior has numerous and complex causes. The biology of
the brain, genetics, psychological traits, and social forces all can
contribute to suicide. Although people commonly attribute suicide to
external circumstances, such as divorce, loss of a job, or failure in school.
Most experts believe these events are triggers rather than causes in
themselves.

It should be that development of thoughts must be governed by both
genetic as well as environmental factor. In the case of two different
people for a same situation two different decision show it is govern by
genes but, in the case of identical twins for a particular situation same
reaction shows it governs by both the genes and environment. It should
be control by the regulation mechanism as in the gene regulation
mechanism.
