Software Developer Co-op with the Lotus Connections Group.
• Contacts HotPlate Project (Widget development with the Lotus Notes Application Sidebar)
Developed an Eclipse based widget Plug-in integrated to Lotus Notes which allows user to collaborate
with contacts via social networking applications such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Lotus Connections etc
and access feeds. Implemented on Eclipse platform using Java Swings, SWT and Expeditor API.
• Lotus Connections Composite Apps using Websphere Portlet Factory (Client – Bayer, Germany)
Designed and developed a composite application of Activities, Dogear and Blogs, the components of
Lotus Connections, on Web 2.0 standards using Websphere Portlet Factory. Builders allowed the
designing of Portlets which are dynamic and robust J2EE applications that react automatically to
change and can be further modified by business users.
• Training: Involved in sessions on Architecture of Notes Domino Server, Notes Client and Lotus
Connections framework. Actively participated in Brainstorming and Pitching of Ideas.
• Client Interface: Presented project updates to Customer Manager and clients. Worked with customers
to create and execute test cases and resolve bugs. Gathered information from customers to
accommodate rapid project changes to justify Agile development..

• Software Development: Designed and Developed the GUI for Orderpath and NumberManager which
were used to authorize Number Portability for Telecom Service Providers. Implemented in JAVA, JSP,
Servlets and Beans framework using Eclipse, Lomboz, and Apache Server as framework.

• Developed a web based “Bug Tracker Management System” using JSP, Servlet and HTML on Apache
as part of project during undergraduate final year. Application allows users to input bug reporting,

Algorithmic Aspect of Telecommunication Networks: Implemented the Modified Kruskal and Sharma-
EL Bardai Algorithms using Java Applets.
Adv Computer Networks: Designed a technique to make TCP tolerate host failure given a network
setup of two hosts. Implemented in Otcl and C++ on UNIX using the NS2 tool.
Real-Time Systems : Developed application using C and Java that allows user to control movement of a
Train in real time in the Tornado 2.2 Environment & WindRiver Embedded RTOS.
Compiler Construction: Designed a lex-yacc based text editor in UNIX to edit a tagged text file on
specific editing commands. Two parsers were implemented; one parsing the tagged input text into a
structure tree and the second to parse the edit commands and apply them to the input text.
